Your lack of or inability to describe surroundings and where things are in relation to us often makes it hard in fights. No, in fact Shade is a prime example of a bat who has lost his way. The problem with bates is that the Mares and Stallion do not use their assets to their full potential.

The Mares are smelly, have stupid and ugly faces, are really fat, and their voices are harsh and shrill. Yet they try to become so called 'semen demons' by lathering their faces in make up, doing tons of leg exercises so their fat sagging flanks will look appealing, go on diets so they won't become too fat, and practice hours upon hours on how to suck dick with their razor sharp and oversized fangs.

Then the Stallions are lithe, small, feminine, dainty, and really pretty with the voice of an angel. However they try and compete with other Stallions by doing 'Badass' things like joining the military or killing drug lords, even though it's pushing their small frame to the absolute limit. They try to hide their pain, weakness, and self-loathing (caused by them knowing they cannot even compete with wimpy Unicorn Stallions) by putting up a facade of 'edginess'.

In reality, the Mares should be out working on farms, fields, military, and other places where their ugliness doesn't matter, meanwhile the Stallions become diplomats, waitresses, salesponies, and other jobs where they can use their charm properly while avoiding having to do any demanding physical labor. Or become housewives for superior Pony races and use their soft side along with their appealing physique to help comfort and elevate them to greatness.

Only then when this great injustice is corrected will Batponies be a respectable race. Pic related is a bat stallion who has learned his true place in society.

How does Inept do it, for example? When we controlled Daring Do the motivation was exploring / lifting the curse on the village, and when we controlled Muffin it was to save Daring. What should be our motivations to go against the big bad?

I do get a little annoyed when I think the QM or other players make decisions that will eventually unravel the CYOA, but I don't care when it makes an interesting story. I don't believe you need a trip to join. Back when I was looking at it (when it was Tower) there were several Anons controlling anonymous ponies 1-5 or whatever. You can also spawn new characters mid-session I do believe. I don't know if it still it like that, but previously it was set up to work better with the 4chan format than standard rping.
