Here you can discuss all the things you've made you can post your youtube channels and share with other anons.

It doesn't matter if it's PMVs, music or anything else, just share with us what you've made and share what you might be just working on.

>if I give up anywhere along the way I'll never forget it and blame myself at night

I think that's most content creators to be honest. I know I can speak for myself and say that's absolutely the case. You just have to keep trucking along and keep honing your skills/working towards finishing your project come hell or high water. Also organization helps a lot, especially for larger projects.
>>

Can I ask what you wanted to do? You can do it any time
>>
>>27781123
As a guy who finished various 6 months PMV projects, I was terrible at organizing anything, I took long breaks and sometimes added in one clip or finished few seconds, I was afraid that if I tried to force myself when my mind was currently dry out of ideas the video would suck.

Currently also working on a bigger project with the same tempo.

Yeah, it's not the first time something like that happened to me, but it feels like this time I really took more than I can chew. Organisation is really the problem. If I could manage my time properly and actually set up like a primitive Gantt chart with deadlines and shit, it would probably be much easier. Too bad my willpower ends at working out regularly because I can't even get out of bed at a set time.

>>27781135
It's supposed to be a pony video intertwined with some extra animation and effects designed by me. The progress is currently at the point where I have the clips required and while making prototypes of the designs I'm slowly realizing I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing.
>>
>>27780535
A while back, Animated James and Vannamelon made a song called "The Real Pink Pony" a parody of an Eminem song.

I took the song, added some EQ and effects, then isolated the vocals and laid it over Eminem's Instrumental version

Well done to Vannamelon though on her performance, some parts of the song you can tell where she's getting tired and literally straining to keep in her Pinkie voice

About a year or year and a half ago I was working on a few pony theme songs. Stopped doing it to work on less focused music.
>>

I'm not so enthusiastic into making videos anymore, but I still mess with Sony Vegas from time to time since there are some vids I will be finishing up eventually if I ever stop procrastinating.
>>
>>27781376
Yeah the parody was surprisingly good. I still think it has a great start but the last verse is weak, like they ran out of ideas.
The instrumental is a bit off, though. I dunno if it's just low quality, but it feels a tad muffled in comparison to the original, like there's imbalance between the lower and higher frequencies. Would be better if I could actually express what I'm hearing in English but I ain't no sound engineer.

I'm not a sound engineer either desu, there's probably some audiophile somewhere tearing his hair out over what I made.
I wanted to know what it would sound like with a beefier instrumental, and I wasn't disappointed

>>27781649
Agreed. I get that they wanted a more sweet, sugary high-pitched beat for Pinkie, but it's missing that proper bass.

Working on Outpost erryday. (2D crafting/building game, a bit like Minecraft)

This month:
>added a minecraft-style cross-server login system
>made it possible to have abilities that take time to cast/use
>tons of server refactoring (the architecture was getting out of hand)
216 files changed, 9208 insertions(+), 5229 deletions(-)

Currently messing with the world generation code, thinking of converting it to Python so it's easier to work on. Then I want to adjust the ore spawning patterns and add more tiers of metals (right now there's only copper). The goal is for random regions of the map to have particularly high density of one type of ore, so that players are encouraged to explore and set up mines in multiple locations.

Have you guys ever initially planned out a project in your head perfectly only to have it come out shitty because of lack of time?

https://youtu.be/xEwlp8d9wcg

The problem with me is I have very little patience these days with editing. It's beyond tedious at some points and it wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't working 2 jobs and in school all year round.

I haven't lost my motivation yet, but man is my time management a gigantic problem for me. It makes me think that the main reason content is being produced less these days is because people grew up and have serious lives now rather than just losing interest in the fandom/show.

pic unrelated I guess

I make foods from the show as well as other relevant recipes, snap pics with pony toys or shoop in something cute if I don't have the right figure, then share the recipes while pretending to be an innocent adorable Unicorn. I have too much free time and I enjoy cooking.

Upcoming stuff I have to write recipes for include strawberry cinnamon cilantro cupcakes, and carrot dogs. Besides those I have a very long list of things from the show and the comic books for inspiration but feel free to request things you would like to see.

It's basically all Rust and Python these days. Used to be lots of Javascript for the game client, but I've slowly been converting that over to Rust. JS just becomes a pain to work with once the project gets big enough.

I'm an art student who never fucking has the drive to complete anything decent. I have so many crazy ideas, and sources of inspiration, and a good imagination, and even practice and access to damn good software, but I don't have the will, discipline, to commit to even a little project.
And the worst part is I know my time is quickly running out, as mlp will soon be over, and of course, fandom activity will die as well. Making content for an audience that had to have moved on will be pointless.

There is ONE original music video project that I feel I can accomplish with all my availiable resources if I get started soon. I just need to get off my ass and do it. I bought a drawing tablet, camera, mic, & crazy software for god sakes.

Wish a nigga luck in bringing more cool content to the fandom. I sure want to do it, but being at the shitty, entitled young adult age where I want to do whatever I feel like doing instead of what I should be doing, doesn't help squat.

I plan on doing a mlp and sonic crossover fight

Also Bill Cipher VS Discord will be my s1 finale

The reasons I haven't taken it off unlisted/made a public announcement is because either
A.) I'll get called autistic
B.) Both Fandoms have a strong hate for the other thus making it controversial based on the winner.
C.) Get called out for being a ripoff

I use too much of copyrighted music for this being even close to reality, but it'd be cool.
>>
I have had some weird bursts of inspiration before. For example a few years ago a theatre department Inwas involved with did the musical rendition of Footloose and I recently wondered how much time and effort it would take somebody to remake the first two scenes (approx 7 minutes) of the musical in a more cinematic format with the vocals and instruments being re-recorded from scratch. Not to mention the animation process itself would probably need like 2 animatic drafts and people that knew what dance moves wouldn't look cringeworthy for ponies for the Chicago sequence and how to work around the limitations in camera shots of the one room congregation. Plus, it's most likely need VA's for at least 8 people and a good group of teenaged/early adult singers, church chior and backups to act as the people in the pews.

Sorry for the spaghetti spill I just really like the idea. Though if by a slim chance it did happen I'd just go ahead and cast myself as Ren.

I create audioplays of greentext fanfics written on this board, for the most part.

There's a lot of creativity that goes into the stuff posted on this board, and for one reason or another people outside of it are hesitant to come here and find it themselves. I feel like I'm helping to bring light to some of that creativity (especially in the lewd variety) which would otherwise go unnoticed outside of the thread it was posted in.

That's hardmode though, trying to write everything from scratch yourself. It's much easier if you use an existing engine such as LÖVE or Game Maker.
>>
Virtual reality codefag, reporting.

Pony viewer version 0.5, which should have included scenes from Argodaemon, is more or less canceled. It's doable but a lot of work for a sub-par result since it will lack facial animations.
Also, money is getting tight so I'm back on non-pony, commercial projects (shitty mobile games mostly).
The only good news is that I plan to add a few boss fights with OCs, as bonus levels. Probably Pillow case, Anonfilly, Aryanne (without her cm) and maybe Snowdrop or Nyx. Can't risk having Hasbro on my ass so it limit a lot what I can do.

>>27785086
Use a fucking game engine : Unity, Unreal, Game maker, whatever. I had fun writing my own stuff in Asmx86 long ago, but if you actually want to produce something, don't waste your time reinventing the wheel.

don't get me wrong, love2d is a fucking godlike framework, but it's not an engine unless you're going for box2d integration or planning on using only what's already built in. The built in systems are the best of any engine/framework I've used, and I highly recommend anyone going for game dev to use love, but expect to write a lot of engine code yourself (game states, collision detections, tilemaps, levels, ai, etc etc) depending on the complexity of your project. That's the beauty of lua though, it's insanely easy to write your own modules and code in your own style, unlike java. I've been using love2d/lua as my main code system for three years now, and for Everfree Chronicles my dialogue engine is roughly 2,200 lines long spread across four "classes". Menu system is another 1,500 or so.

Nope; I do all my sequencing in FL Studio (which I've been using for well over 10 years), though I do use a lot of authentic chip sounds through either actual samples or hardware emulation). Since I do all my composing digitally via virtual instruments, I've never had a compelling reason to switch to Ableton/Cubase/ProTools once FLS started expanding its functionality. If my workflow for other projects didn't so heavily involve Adobe's suite I might have made the jump at some point, but it's generally easier for me to do mixing and mastering in Audition and use RX5 for waveform editing.

It's all about self-motivation. If you're able to turn the project from a thing you would like to do to a thing you take as a challenge, it's easier to start working on it.
And when it inevitably fails, it's just a mixture of delaying and postponing it until you feel so bad about not doing anything you actually sit down for once and get at it. I've planned to do some work on the weekend and it's already Sunday and I've done fuck all so guess at what stage I'm currently at.

It is. Until recently, I hadn't used it since Wordbuilder was a standalone prior to PLAY, but I've been really impressed with how they integrated the two together. I put that clip together with only about ten minutes of re-familiarizing myself with it, so with a bit more practice I can definitely see it being an extremely powerful tool.

I'm currently trying to make a Pony-themed comedy series, sorta like MST3K, except I riff mlp fanworks. (although I'm planning on switching to full episode riffs w/ a little reviewing on the side, along with quick little one-shot jokes I can't find a place for but I just want to tell.)
SPOILER ALERT: I'm VERY inexperienced, and I'm willing to admit there's a reason I don't have any subscribers.
Nonetheless, you asked for it, so here it is.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsTZH3bumtGrswihSeqSW_g/videos

Although I admit, I'm trying to improve myself, so some feedback would be nice. My current thoughts are:
>I need to work on my delivery, it just feels... off somehow.
>I need to make sure I have enough jokes, there are some very awkward pauses
>I need to have some sort of opening monologue, right now I'm thrusting the viewer into the work with little more than the title.

Thoughts?

I'm still trying to deal with this problem. I'm a horrible procrastinator

I'm an artist that does commissions, and for some reason, everyone requests stuff that is at the upper limits of what I can do. Nothing quick and easy like this vector I did in a half hour. For my own intrigue. I wanted to see how Nightmare Star would look like in a more show-like setting

Starting this week I'm gonna try and set a goal of doing at least one of these mega-commissions per week, with a dedicated one or two hours solely to that. At least then both the income and uploads will be fairly consistent, and who knows, I may get faster at it and start putting out two or three.

Alright I watched the first one, the Rarity's New Patterns or whatever, and I had no idea this was a thing
I was very much entertained throughout this quality piece of art, though. I'm off to watch the second one.
One thing I definitely agree on is that you need a proper intro/outro commentary. Introducing what we're watching and having a short summary at the end would help a lot. Other than that, quality over quantity in terms of jokes is better, sometimes the video's speaking for itself well enough without any necessary comments.

I'm actually using Rust for most of it, including the server-side game engine, the client, and some performance-critical bits of game logic such as terrain generation. I use Python for defining the properties and behavior of items and other game objects.

However, I ended up dropping it in favor Love2D, because at the moment I don't care about anything else than PC release. Additionally unlike Moai, Love2D comes with proper keyboard and mouse support out of the box, where as I had to write my own C++ code to add that to Moai.

I don't think there's a content creator on the planet who won't have this happen every once in a while.

For example, I had to get this video done way earlier than normal since I was going to be out of town for the round of 16, and as usual I didn't give myself nearly enough time. I was able to only just barely finish the second half of the video in a (highly rushed) somewhat passable fashion before I had to leave, but I had no choice but to do the first half on my laptop later that night. Since it can *barely* run After Effects or Premiere Pro, I basically wasn't able to do much of anything aside from some embarrassingly poor video editing and ugly, bare-bones kinetic typography. I felt really bad I wasn't able to give Ken's voice-over the level of production value it deserved since he'd been excited to do that gag for a while and had gone through the trouble of recording it and sending it to me with more than enough time to spare.

I've got a few songs in the works, but over the summer I don't put out songs very often. Weekends are the only time I have to do a lot of work, and during the summer I'm usually out doing other things.

Most of them are acoustic ballads. They're what I lean towards writing most often. I'll do some more bluegrass eventually though. I'm kind of the only one doing that genre, so it's fun to throw bluegrass out there every once in a while.
>>
>>27825166
What program do you use. What are the best free VST's to get. And I think that's it for me.
>>
>>27825717

I'm a bad person to ask this because most of my work happens outside the PC. I do mostly live instruments, so the DAW and VSTs I use aren't extremely important. As long as it can do levels, panning, EQ, compression, and reverb, that's all I need 99% of the time. But the one I use is FL12.

And same goes for VSTs. I don't often use VSTs not native to FL just because my genres don't call for it. And the VSTs I do have I pirated (don't sue me). So I can't very well recommend free ones. Sorry.

This doesn't answer your question because it's not free, but the most useful VST I have is Guitar Rig 5. Obviously it's useful because I play guitar, but I can get some awesome sounds by running things that aren't guitar through there.

The quickest and easiest way to get horse famous is by blowing Monique Creber

The way I see it, there are two ways to get more popular. You can promote yourself, or you can let your content promote itself.

When I say promote yourself, think FritzyBeat. He talks to everybody, comments on everything, collabs with anyone who's willing, and generally puts his foot in every door he can. He makes it impossible for people to not know who he is. That's hands down the most efficient way to get popular. The problem with it, in my opinion, is that when you gain popularity like that, you'll have people saying things like
>he doesn't deserve to be as popular as he is
or
>he's only popular because he collabed with this horse famous person

I'm on the complete other side of the spectrum. I don't talk to anyone, I don't collab with anyone, I don't respond to comments, and I don't plaster my new songs everywhere I possibly can. I release a song and do nothing. If my song is good, it'll gain me popularity and the community will share it themselves. If it's not, then I'll have to do better next time. I gain popularity much more slowly, but no one can ever question whether I 'deserve' my popularity. And I take pride in that.

There's no wrong way to do it. You can do either or both. But my personal opinion would be to just focus on the quality of your content. Identify what you need to improve (this is the hard part), research how to improve it, and then practice enough until you're better.
>>

My new project is gonna take a while.

Does any one else have a fear of not keeping your channel active enough? Like, here I am, working on something bigger than stuff I did in recent weeks, but it will make it impossible for me to upload weekly, my last upload was three weeks ago and it makes me feel bad when I see myself not uploading enough.

Are my concerns over the top? I like to upload at least weekly, I make PMVs though and sometimes they take MUCH longer to complete rather than in a week, depending how complex I intend to make them. Should I not care about my upload rate at all?

Not the most efficient way Anon.

I believe the quality of one's work can speak for itself and gain an audience. However, sometimes that simply just does not work.

Take this guy and his music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcSV-5sWMqU&user=Snailhuk%20Music

Some of the finest classical I have ever heard in this fandom. Come to think of it, I think one of the only one's with just a cello. To me, this music is quite simply fine in its own way, yet hardly anyone even knows about it after years gone by. Part of it has to do with how YouTube's SEO works in primarily promoting bigger channels, but also with how this artist has done little to no promotion that I am aware of.

If you want to be know, you have to do SOME promotion of sorts to get yourself out there. Especially nowadays considering this fandom is on a decline in numbers. A little promotion never hurt anyone WoodLore, so as along as you aren't a pretentious cunt about it.
>>
>>27826883
I think people won't blame you for not being able to upload videos weekly, that is a really tight schedule. I'd say your concerns are overexaggerated, unless we're talking about months of inactivity. You can make a short announcement/teaser video to show that you're liv and what you're working on, if you wish.
>>
>>27799262

That depends on the video Anon.

Though it usually help to start with videos around that time, then slowly work your way up, then switch up in between intervals from short to long videos to maintain interest. At least, that's how some channels sometimes hook me.

Yeah, that would be true. I will just camly finish this project, even though I have a video ready on the after 10th, after PMV today's panel at Brony Con ends, I submitted a video, no idea if it will be featured there or not, but one of the rules was obviously not to publish the video until the panel.

I doubt that video will get anywhere high as it was made rather quickly. But the thought of submitting somethig to a contest like that is still exciting.
>>
>>27826883

Don't burn yourself out over it Anon. Your subscribers probably have other channels to tied themselves over with till you upload.

Though you should be aware that YouTube itself primarily is focused on the frequency of your uploads, and the video length.

In other words, longer videos that are actually watched, plus the frequency equals more exposure on the site. It explains why LPers are so prominent.

Since yours is more of a passion project, I say take your time. Post when it is ready, not before.
>>
>>27826946

I think the two of us have had this exact conversation before. I don't want to come across like I'm saying it's WRONG to self-promote. It's not. It just yields different results, and I prefer not to.

And regarding that song in particular, I think that has more to do with genre than lack of promotion. I don't know if any low energy classical artists have ever been really popular in the community.

And I don't know if you know this or not, but that song is just an arrangement of Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYIAfiVGluk

It's strange that the artist doesn't acknowledge that.

quick questions:
>1. Who is the target audiance for that? The casual listener wants something faster to listen to. No matter how crisp the sound quality is, there's no way to engage the casual listener. Woodlore only gets a lot of people to listen to the very pretty or very fun songs.

Sweet, another nazi-horse, psychedelic artwork, and awesome music lover!
>>
>>27825717
What kind of music do you wanna make? For complex electronic music, I highly recommend Ableton and mostly stock plugins plus a few synth VSTs like Absynth, Sylenth, Massive, and FM8. Other plugins you probably wanna get is Pro-Q 2, Lowender and pretty much the entire Waves suite, and whatever special stuff you want like Antares Autotune or chiptune emulators or whatever.

You'll also wanna get Audacity for a select few things and if you wanna go the extra mile, render your stems in Ableton and import them to Protools.

Logic and Cubase are pretty good alternatives to Ableton and although you can get pro tracks out of FL Studio, it's actually a handicapped DAW and has bit-level problems that most users probably aren't aware of because they haven't trained their ears well enough. FL is good to learn the concepts with though.
>>
>>27827777
I wanna make gabber, happy hardcore, and techno. And thanks for the advice man.
>>
>>27827777
>it's actually a handicapped DAW and has bit-level problems that most users probably aren't aware of because they haven't trained their ears well enough.

Source on this? I hear Ableton users say this all the time but have never seen any proof of it.
>>
>>27826109

one anon in the plushie thread suggested that you stich a fake heart shaped patch over the real cutie mark that can be ripped off once the transport is done.
>>
>>27827815
You don't need a source when you know how it works under the hood. FL is unintuitive and colors it's audio much more than Ableton, has delay problems out the ass (that has to be manually adjusted) doesn't have a fluid bit-level editor and doesn't have auto/smooth fades which causes renders to have all kinds of sudden jumps and it really adds up, especially for mastering.

Ableton's not perfect by any means, but it's worst problem is Plugin Delay Compensation which happens when using lots of 3rd party plugins, hence my suggestion to mostly use default plugins which are 32-bit float with oversampling by default and test quite well against paid plugins. For reference, FL doesn't even have an engine *for* PDC and thus can't even be fixed by the user. The PDC issue is also why I suggest using Protools for mastering stems (alternatively, you could also import the rendered stems into a fresh project and only apply 3rd party plugins to your master where PDC stops being an issue).
>>
>>27785106
This is fuckin hilarious, anon, thanks for sharing!
>>
>>27827952
Cool, I get that you claim to "know how it works under the hood". So do the people that favor FL. I'm not saying you're wrong. Let's see some proof though.
>>
>>27827520
That's cool af
>>
>>27828001
I'm not sure how to present "proof" as it's something you have to study to understand. Here's a good quote:

>A daw is actually the sum of it's parts and a *infinite* combination of random levels and processes and settings that most certainly will never be repeated twice the exact same way on different projects. The only way to definitively prove (one way or the other) that one daw 'sounds' different from another would be to do *multiple* stringent tests of real world mixes using identical plugs on the same system (and multiple systems) with identical levels, panning, midi and automation and using identical plugs and VSTI's and then attempting to null the entirety of the scientifically measured and calibrated moves and changes. Virtually impossible.

You really do have to know how it's working under the hood to even approach the argument and that's what I tried to do in my reply. The best I can do for you is show you someone who knows what he's talking about but doesn't fully know how to work FL to overcome it's internal limitations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0otGfGiPi0

So my real question is why would anyone want to learn on a non-industry standard DAW that you have to do extra things to accomplish the same results and that will hurt you when you try to switch DAWs if you ever make it into the industry? Logic is too technical to easily learn on, otherwise that would be recommended DAW if you want purely to produce, Protools is the industry standard for recording and Ableton is just really balanced and intuitive, plus there's Live mode that handles digital/analog conversion quite well and is a fairly unique performance tool.
>>
>>27828267

I have studied it and I've programmed an audio DSP before. And it's not impossible to discuss without having studied it. All a DAW is doing, on a basic level, is letting you feed audio through DSPs (which are the VSTs), and then mix it with other audio. All a VST is doing is taking the audio data chunk by chunk, performing processing on the chunk based on the user settings, and spitting it back out in real time.

I want an example of the "bit-level problems that most users probably aren't aware of because they haven't trained their ears well enough". Are you saying FL is doing miscalculations during the VST processing? Are you saying FL is miscalculating when mixing multiple audio sources? Because I constantly hear from Ableton users FL has a "bad audio engine", but whenever I look to find what they're talking about, all I can find on Google is more Ableton users saying FL has a "bad audio engine". I genuinely want to know if there is an example that can explain this to me. I don't have an allegiance one way or another, I have just never seen a straight answer about this.

And as I understand, FL improved their delay compensation in 12.

>>
>>27828421
If by improved, you mean they added support, because in 11, it was nonexistent. I'm a programmer myself and I've studied lots of theory on music production and you're correct that at the basic level, it's just doing math, but a DAW is not just a DSP, it is several processes running at once and everything is not running in total sync so technically the math can't be perfect. Is FL's math 'broken' or worse than other DAWs? No, it just handles it's processes worse so that the constant conversions between frequencies add up to a noticeable character, which is an issue completely separate from handling latencies and DAC. With just a few rounding errors, you can get a big enough difference that it starts messing with your compressors/limiters and your signal-to-noise ratio and you have to 'fix' it manually by ear, which is no easy task unless you've spent years training them. I say 'fix' because a huge glaring flaw in the way FL process audio is that it constantly bounces and debounces whereas Ableton constantly reinterprets source material (which is a pain in the ass for synth VSTs if they don't include gated starting). A step further, even when you freeze a track in Ableton, it doesn't remove the underlying data, it just frees up your RAM whereas by design of FL, this feature is impossible and thus FL's track freezing is the equivalent of track flattening, so even the terms that FL uses are misleading. FL also does a lot of bit-conversion instead of operating at a native bit-rate which will make all the above problems exaggeratedly worse.

Some of those gems unfortunately got deleted by their respective artists. Speaking of which, I actually have got a little written up for just such an occassion.

If you Anons don't mind a few pages worth that I have cataloged, I will be happy to post it.

>it's actually a handicapped DAW and has bit-level problems that most users probably aren't aware of because they haven't trained their ears well enough

>>27828795
>FL also does a lot of bit-conversion instead of operating at a native bit-rate which will make all the above problems exaggeratedly worse.

Despite those sweet quads, as >>27827815 pointed out, this is complete bullshit, unlike the legendary meme which is Ableton's PDC. In addition to being able to run both 32 bit and 64 bit plugins at their native bit rate, FL Studio 12 has a 32 bit floating point mixer, and as such will automatically convert audio during internal playback to 32 bit floating point just like pretty much every DAW on the planet—including Ableton (sourced below). Since the process of increasing bit depth is lossless, I'm not quite sure what you're talking about here.

Source: https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/audio-fact-sheet/
>Please note that Live‘s internal signal processing is all 32-bit, so applying even a single gain change makes the resulting audio 32-bit as well — even if the original audio is 16- or 24-bit.

Image-Line actually has a great article up on all of this which I highly recommend reading, likely a result of other DAW evangelists constantly making false claims.

I do, if 1) I'm recording live instruments or 2) if the project I'm working on uses an AVID pipeline. Otherwise, I prefer to do my sequencing and automation in FLS as I find it to be a much faster, modular, and over all more enjoyable experience.

Additionally, Pro Tools also has a historically terrible video engine constantly plagued by various issues, and while this has gotten a bit better lately, it hasn't really changed much in recent years. I gave it another chance when I started doing the Foley and sound design for Dawn Somewhere a few months back but I got fed up with it pretty quickly and went back to Premiere Pro.

Checked.

Anyway, though your name sounds vaguely familiar, I'm fairly sure link related (https://youtu.be/rpX3Mb6Ybe0 which someone linked below) is the first time I've heard any of your stuff. That said, this is actually quite impressive, especially the vocals. I really like bluegrass and folk in general (though I probably enjoy Irish folk the most), so it's nice to hear someone be able to pull it off. The only constructive criticism I've got off the top of my head aside from the occasional off-pitch note is that the backing instruments sound pretty dry, which in turn makes the overall mix sound a bit dry as well, and that the banjo could have perhaps been a bit more prominent. A kick/snare groove might have worked, but that's just me, and it's likely something I'm sure you considered but chose to leave out for stylistic reasons, which is totally fine.
