Why would you be surprised? The thing they allegedly don't like is something criticizing the show, right? So it's natural for people native to EQD to shit on those people simply out of the principle that the show can do no wrong.

I am sick of this shitty content being posted on EQD when some genuine talents gets lost.

EQD has always been a cult site. Any horse famous person will automatically get featured but the rest of the low-class if you call them that Bronies have to either wait in line or won't get featured at all.

>>27777098
To be fair, the comment section on EQD wasn't this bad back then, all I see there now are faggots arguing, even Seth himself knows how the comment section can be. I mostly avoid it like a plague now, but I still comment from time to time if I have something to say.

>>27776321
EQD always had people who are more critical of the show/fan content than others, you just need to look through the comments for a while. After all, the website was founded for the early /co/ pony fans and Seth is a 4channer at heart (and Calpain was a mod for Ask Molestia, but I don't know whether he ever was a 4channer). It just attracted a lot of people over the years that are very different from that mindset, which gave the site's users the reputation they have.

Also EqD is a content aggregator, they do have curation for some categories (mostly fanfics), but not a lot. They essentially post what gets submitted.

Regarding Bronies React, it's my guilty pleasure of fan content. I usually enjoy most of it (and I like to hear what their actual opinions are in the Bonus videos because I enjoy show discussion and like seeing other people's opinions). That has probably something to do with it being one of the first things I saw of the fandom. I consider it just silly >fun, and I don't really care that the reactors are horsefamous, the other community react videos I've seen are mostly much worse though.

This.

Same goes for Nowacking. She hasn't done shit in like forever as far as I know.

Becoming a brony reactor man... not even once. And this is coming from a guy running a bigger channel than most of them. Those two main guys are some of the most irritating guests at conventions. It's really the only thing I loathe about going to cons these days. It's seeing them. Nothing says "look at me and how great I am" more than SaberSpark and ACRacebest

>>
>>27777844

>>
>>27777892
Yes. But I branched out like the dirty schwindler I am. I was a music channel that began in the Pony Fandom. But in 2015 my pony content was not getting watched as much as it used to. And the long hiatuses weren't helping either. So I phased into other fandoms to survive.

As much as I dislike FNAF and UT. I can't deny that they helped keep my channel afloat so I could still make pony content along side them.

It worked out well.
>>
>>27777592
They make money off of this shit. That's the real reason. Why did one mlp critic say he was stopping doing mlp vids then a month later go right back to it? His Youtube revenue dried up and wanted more bronybucks.
>>

The problem is listening hot opinions from people who don't appreciate the show anymore.

Fuck no.

A ton of musicians left the fandom after the community started watching their videos immensely. About a year ago I decided that it was either do more of other fandoms or fade out like Aftermath and even Archie (though Archie is still somewhat active). Pony music alone wasn't producing enough revenue to pay my guys. And they can't work for free.

As Wootmaster told me at BabsCon last April, it's a necessary thing to do for some channels. It's either phase in or fade out. That being said I often wonder what will happen to the analysts and reactors once the show ends. Channels like mine can still live on; but them? Who knows.

Why do all content creators turn out to be desperate for money or views? Does no one do things for the sake of creative expression?
>>
>>27778969
You either try to do it as your main job, or you have a normal IRL job that burns you out and by the time you get home the last thing you want to do is work on any art, it kills your drive.
>>
>>27778969
Some people started when they were in college and just gave up after they entered the real world
>>
>>27778969
Not all content creators are desperate for money or views.
It's just that they either got a job for the money or kept doing what they wanted and their channels faded into obscurity.

You start doing something because it's fun - but if you get popular, if it starts making you cash, giving you recognition, whatever that matters to you - you don't want to lose that. Simple, really.
>>
>>27778816
I think he meant fade out (from the fandom).
>>
>>27778969

As >>27778981 put it, you either kill your drive working, or you try to do something like YouTube shill. And as a friend of mine put it at least with YouTube shilling you're presumably making money off of something you enjoy you doing rather than something you don't enjoy doing.

That said the thought has come to me but I've been wondering how to go about such a thing in a way where I don't get stuck in any one single rut. I try to do that anyways, but my adventures in anything but pony get a really, really dry reception.
>>
>>27778969
People grow up and start getting legitimate bills. Bills that cannot always be paid for by doing your hobby. A lot of content producers are desperately trying to make what they love doing a sustainable income.

I myself have a couple other jobs to pay my bills while I am in school. That way the income earned from my channel can go right back into making more content. I never have to spend any of that money on anything else besides my channel.

But as >>27778981 said, when I get home from work, I am beat and have no drive left to work on projects. It sucks but my channel isn't my life. It's for fun.
>>
>>27776321

>>
>>27778969
Back in 2011-2012 I don't think many of the content creators were in it for the money. I think they got into it because they truly loved the show, and it gave them motivation or inspiration.
Eventually that fades, and as other anons said, you eventually have to either cut your YT content way back and find a job, or make YT your job.

Well I mean, he's sort of right. We need to stop highlighting the old horsefamous people who no longer do anything in the fandom, and recognize the lesser knowns. I'm pretty sure a lot of low sub count users try submitting their works but get overshadowed when a current horsefamous person uploads something even if it's not relevant to mlp.

I don't know anything about her ego. But one thing is for sure. She doesn't answer her damn emails anywhere. Not really wrong but still annoying.

>Literally offer healthy payment for simple pony related VA work.
>Don't even get as much as a no in reply.

I never understood people who ignore emails like that. Boggles my mind. Whatever, there are tons of VAs in the fandom willing to work. I won't shed a tear if Eile Monty wants to do other stuff. But why the fuck does she advertise her services on her site if she doesn't answer emails?

Ego? - Dunno
Lack of Professionalism? - Definitely

I have no idea who CinemaSins is, but I looked him up and seen a thumbnail saying "Everything wrong with the Oscars" So yeah, he does imitate him, just like how A.C Racebest imitate The Fine Bros before their controversy, kek it's a slippery slope, because it's not very original. Some people just get very lucky and do stuff like that first in the fandom then get famous because of it.
>>
>>27777525
Still featured though.
>>
>>27780477
I dunno how much ACRacebest just does reaction videos and how much he does Fine Bros style reaction videos.
I mean, Littleshy is ripping off Cinema Sins openly. That's why he calls it Cinemare Sins, copies the template of CS, it's naming (Everything wrong with X in Y minutes) and also has an exclaimer that it's a parody.
Both his MLP version and the original consist of pointing out mistakes, inconsistencies, flaws and such in mostly a humorous manner.
I don't follow it as much because the MLP ones didn't really entertain me and many people already pointed out that the original intentionally misinterprets certain things just to shit on a movie more or to make a joke.

>Yes. But I branched out like the dirty schwindler I am.
>As much as I dislike FNAF and UT

I want to say I really hate people who bandwagon fandoms just to ride the gravy train, but I suppose in truth what I hate more is that the nature of being a musician almost always boils down to this in one form or another.

I've only ever really written music primarily inspired by whatever I happen to be into at the time. I've only got just under 12k subscribers, and the only reason I even have those is because over the span of a few years I went from being into WoW to League. After I stopped playing League, I stopped writing music based on it save for finishing up one particular composition I had been working on for a few years, even though my music outside those games doesn't get nearly as many views with the exception of two tracks that a guy who does Hearthstone compilation videos occasionally uses.

I can't imagine there's a wide variety of available jokes when you compare one series to the pool of movies available. It sounds like cinemare sins is mostly capitalizing on the fact that they are a rip-off of cinema sins. Brand recognition and all.
>>
>>27780687
Trust me dude. I never imagined having to do it when I first started doing this. But when my stats were nearly bottoming out I had little choice. I have so much fun doing what I do. I love my hobby. I honestly wasn't ready to give it up at the time. After some heavy research I posted my first FNAF video. It skyrocketed, but at a cost. I got poor feedback from my pony-only fans and some of them left. But for every 1 sub I lost I gained 20. In one day I made nearly 3000 subs. All because of a cheesy edgy fad jumpscare video game. Who would have thought?

When season 3 ended and 4 started, I was able to focus on Pony again because there was an increased interest in it. But I saw other pony music channels stop posting pony during the hiatus: Omni, Alex, Aftermath, Archie took a long ass break, Ponyphonic, AllLevelsAtOnce went AWOL, Wooden Toaster lost his groove etc Other channels moved onto bandwagoning: Mando, TLT, SayanoraMaxwell, Aviators (though his Dexter song was legit) etc.

All in all it is a shame what music has become on YouTube. With the exception of Vevo, a musician can only make it either by getting featured on an established music medium (MonsterCat, Proximity, GalaxyMusic) or by fad music. Musicians heavily rely on fads these days. And it shows. While the music isn't all bad and there is plenty of content for everyone because of it, being a musician on YouTube can really suck at times because you get burned out trying to keep up with the latest and greatest fads.
>>
>>27781541
Well, yeah. You can point out some plot holes in the episode and a couple animation bugs and oversights, but that's pretty much it. IIRC Cinemare's much shorter than Cinema is. But yeah, the whole point of it is "Look at this! It's Cinema Sins, but with ponies!"

I know that the fandom has only three years max left in it before most of it dies off. I hope that there are actual, decent, content creators at the very end and not just these horsefamous bastards. I know that cashing in a fad helps with brand development; but at least put some effort into it. If you are a reaction channel, livestream the season opener or the new episode and genuinely react and then do the "dramatized version" a fortnight or so later

I've seen Wubcake comment on a few channels offering to VA, people tell her they'd use her but it seems they lack the ability to contact her, or nothing is relesed. She should push more for it I guess. Could see her doing great things. Her singing is probably a 7/10 I'd give her higher but she seems to have trouble going all out. But she's got potential, unlike many singers in the fandom I don't hear any auto-tune/correction on it. Her acting is a good 8/10 Mostly for her Adagio, unf.

Magpie on the other hand is a shitty fat VA you can hear it in the voice and panders to the youngest demographic. Her singing is always pitched and autotuned so 3/10 her acting is no better. She's not original, all her "series" is rip offs of disney films.

I agree with the pedestal part. But there is no need to shit on reaction videos or belittle those who participate in them. React vids are no different than browsing /mlp/ or reading the comments section in EQD: just people looking to see what other people's reactions are to something. The only difference is react vids go the extra mile and put time and effort into their commentary.
You may not agree with everything they say or find the commentary "cringey", but again, that's no different then reading regular posts you find on the internet.

That is just how the algorithms work on it.

With YouTube, they have near complete control whether you become famous or not. Or at least, a good chunk of your fortunate can be decided by them if you aren't a large channel.

YouTube wants to be the next big television, and thus have shifted their site to work accordingly. Smaller, grassroots stuff, channels that have been there since the beginning or were close to it, are shafted on this. Either you make big ad bucks for YouTube or you can go fuck right off.

Not that I hold that against Google. They've been hemmorging money on that site ever since they got it. Even though that has stemmed somewhat, they are still losing money off it.

So it has to make up for it in some other field since the site isn't exactly generating money. Namely in getting in bed with big media stars, from hosting their content to having direct affiliations with them. In return, their own services and stuff get promoted.

I miss the old way of doing things myself, but the fact of the matter is that it is never coming back. If it were up to Google, that stuff would be completely buried in history, and would rather us remember that YouTube was always like this. At least, that's how I see it.
>>
>>27782229

Calm down, Slashy
>>
>>27793265
To be fair, this time it actually IS Slashy there, only I don't even get why the guy is calling him out. It is not like he is even disagreeing the material is bad, just that bad things can become popular which wasn't even what Slashy was arguing about in the first place.

>>

Check the email, I only know because some other anon, called him out in a thread out of no where.

Even so, I don't get how he behaves any differently than most people do here.
>>
>>27793308
Not >>27793301 but he literally does have autism. He admitted it a long time ago. So it boils down to just having patience with him as with anyone suffering from it. So I just tell people to not take him so seriously. It is kinda funny how angry people get because of him. As much as >le epic troll meme is dead,
He makes for a good kek when he pulls off stunts like that fake aniamtic. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it shitposting? Yes. But is it boring? No.

Remember RainboomCrash? That guy was fucking hilarious to watch. He went down in history as one of the board's greatest shitposters. And I know we shouldn't be /b/ 2.0 but every board has their memes, and I like ours. So enjoy the ride.
>>
>>27793340
His hoaxes are pretty well-done, so even if they are fake they are still enjoyable. Is that really the only reason people seem to hate the guy? Everytime I have seen him post he comes across as pretty nice, if terribly needy for positive reinforcement.

>Is that really the only reason people seem to hate the guy?
Well we all say stupid things from time to time. Slashy is no different. Though he has a better excuse since he literally has autism. But anyways there have been times over the years where he would get critical of other content, and hardly anyone in this fandom takes criticism well. So in turn, he got a bad rep in the production and animation community as a jag.

>Everytime I have seen him post he comes across as pretty nice, if terribly needy for positive reinforcement.
He is a nice guy. A little scatterbrained at times but still nice. It's really hard to help him though when he is troubled. It's hard to reach out to him. His thoughts are all over the place and out of control when he gets upset.

>>27793423
Totally. EQD was pissed too. And Reddit. They knew a /mlp/ person was behind it, and some insiders spilled the beans and it came out that the CK was "to blame". The fandom is full of over-sensitive people, who cry out every time they feel fooled. Remember the whole Black Gryphon thing? Everyone called him out for being an ass by charging people for skype calls. It was freaking stupid because he wasn't the only one who did that stuff and yet was labeled as a greedy jew for being a part of it. Dr. Wolf does the same exact thing. Look on his patreon. Pic related. He releases several videos a month and for a spot to get a skype chat with him, you need to pledge $20 a video. Again he releases like 5 videos a month. So you are paying $100 for a skype chat with him. Same exact price Gabriel had. Yet no one bats an eye.

Overall I'll say it again, when some people sense "debauchery" at the slightest hint, they will cry out in offense. Slashy is a good prankster. I like him for that. He makes me laugh. But I don't take his work serious all the time, so that's why I never get personally offended.
>>
>>27793487
A Horse Dildo would be a better investment for 20+ dollars rather than Patreon shilling. I'd be damn if I spend a sent on anyone who does things like that. How come Wolf wasn't called out on that as much as Gryph0n?
>>
>>27793553
DrWolf actually makes decent content and is far more likable.
>>
>>27793614
This. I know him personally and he is a great guy.

>>27793553
He doesn't come off as arrogant at all. So people welcome him better. It's the mindset of much of the fandom that unless you are a nice and likable easy-going person with safe opinions, you won't find approval from most people. No matter what you really do.

For example, MictheMicrophone made some good content. I don't care what people say, he had a lot of potential as a vocalist. But as soon as he acted out of arrogance, and pride. And as soon as others caught onto it and felt demeanor by it, the majority of the fandom threw him out. Hell even Knighty made a damned rant post about it on fimfic.

It's kind of a shame. I feel like we would still have a better amount of content production still left if it weren't for people being chased away for offensive actions instead of corrected. But it's an issue on both sides. Fans are bad at giving constructive graceful criticism and content creators are bad at receiving it and processing it.
>>
>>27776321
>bullcrud
What fresh Hell is this?
>>
>>27793684
I guess you're right, but I still wouldn't do it because it's a waste of money to me. Also, it's funny you mentioned Mic because I recently found out he blocked me on Twitter via blockbot for following a few people he don't like, I was a bit shocked yesterday because I didn't think he would do anything like that, but nothing of value was lost. I don't know the story behind him and the fandom since he don't make content anymore, but people like him would eventually stop caring.
>>
>>27793487
Here is the thing I find most embarrassing, I never got the impression that Slashy was trying to piss people off. Surely he knows plenty of ways he could send the fandom into a rage (killing off Celestia, Mane 6 alicorns, OCs appearing on the show, IDW being made canon), but instead he tries to get us to believe that aliens, robots, video game like powerups, and crossovers are all going to be canon. All incredibly ridiculous ideas, so ridiculous that I find that the fandom getting so riled up over it to be especially hilarious.

His ideas are always kind of stupid, hell he has said multiple times that if he was story editor he would push for the adventure episodes to be sillier. So I am not even sure if trying to truly fool the fandom was his goals and not just a way for the fandom to consider his ludicrous ideas.

The most facinating part about it is...his ideas aren't bad, I mean his version of Friendship Games and the Season 6 opener come off as way more interesting than what we actually got. If there is anything Slashy should really be commended for, it is working many of these outlandish ideas into something that could work well in the show. These hoaxes usually have effort put into them and are incredibly creative, so I would say that I enjoy them. Sure those pranks may piss some of you off, but look past the whole "trolling" part and you might realize that they a shining light in a dying board.

TL;DR Slashy's hoaxes are very good for what they are and that makes it more hilarious that people get so upset with them.

> I recently found out he blocked me on Twitter via blockbot for following a few people he don't like
He still acts that way? Has he learned nothing? This honestly upsets me. Because like I said. I really did like his content. It was just his attitude that set me off sometimes. I was hoping he would return to making content one day as a different person. I am not the only one who thinks this too. Several people have tried getting him to come back. But he is too prideful I imagine. I am sure he flat out ignores most messages, unless they are messages about getting him money on Twitch.

I enjoyed the 'Bronies React' vids for the S5 Opener and Finale episodes. I also liked Starlight Glimmer.

One thing the Bronies React' have going for them is that they always have several different people appearing on one video. Reminds me a bit of really old cartoons where non-stop jokes are thrown at the wall and some jokes will stick. Yes, the 'Bronies React' vids are often scripted, but so are Rifftrax (MST3K) as well.

Then again, I don't mind cringe humor. I really liked 'Newbie Dash' and 'Flutter Brutter.'

>>
>>27798078
I never screen capped it, but I still remember it as clear as day.

The rant was an announcement post. Meaning it was on the front page in front of everything.

It went along the lines of calling him an arrogant jackass. Explaining that he constantly bullied his way through the 2012 bronycon crashing panels and being rude about doing it. Knighty was brash about it. Being a horse famous person at the time, he gathered a lot of support in this rant. Some called Knighty rude but other con goers agreed with him.

From what I was able to see, it hit Mic hard. He began his downfall from that moment on. Making less and less content and becoming less social with horse fans. Eventually alienating himself from the community.

Yup, there's a blockbot on Twitter you can use that automatically blocks people you know, or don't know and/or never interacted with at all if you have a certain phrase on your bio, or follow certain crowds. The GG Autoblocker is a perfect example if you know what it is, but now blockbots are being used for other things, too.

It's cowardice and a stupid attempt to be in a "safe space" and echo chamber for sensitive people who can't take criticism, which is why I despise it. People would be better of protecting their tweets like the faggots they are.

Look despite Slashy's autism, he does (or did) have a noble goal of trying to, well, improving fandom content.and you know what that's not a problem.

He just needs to cool his autism and realize that people suck each others dicks all the time to get famous in the real world and the only reason he notices it in this fandom is because it is far more obvious.here.

The funny thing is I think respect is really much more important, it means your own viewer base thinks highly of you, that you aren't just some passing fad.

People respect Dawn Somewhere, Friendship is Witchcraft, JanAnimations, WeimTime,, Wubcake, Dr. Wolf, DrowningInHorseShoes, Digibrony, etc. They are brought up on MLP fan communities meaning that they make an impression with the hardcore fans.If Saberspark, Drawponies, Final Draft, Blackgryph0n, AnimatedJames, ILoveKimPossibleAlot, Zachary Rich. People just making stuff for money or views not only kills the spirit of the fandom but also kind of ruins the charm that a piece of fan content would have - the thought that a piece of fan content was made to express their genuine love and inspiration for a thing they love. As dumb as it is to reply to a post made two days ago, I just want to say that the difference is that the reactions are made forcibly intense by the people doing the video to get as much, we'll, reaction and attention out of the audience. Think of it more like shitposting in a sense. It's an over-exaggerated version of an opinion meant to shock/upset/offend or to get reactions or attention because the reacts videos are made to try and get views on YouTube for youtube or patreon bux.
>>
>>27800048
This is so true.
>>
>>27800439
I don't like it because the editing of the video is so fucked, the audio mixing sucks which makes the jokes more grating when they aren't funny, which is essentially all the time, because every joke seems like some kind of major punchline of something which it isn't.

Also his videos are way too fucking long, pick the best takes rather than trying to shove your friends in there.

>>
>>27801944
>employees
She doesn't have the right to even call them that. Unless she is an established and licensed business that have legitimate payments with taxes taken out, they are technically just commissioners and volunteers. WeimTime and Crowne Prince are examples of people in the fandom with legitimate businesses. LLCs to be exact. But not even they have employees because they aren't going to do all that tax work for a business at their respective sizes. They contract everyone out as "partners". Another reason why KP is so shady at times.
>>
>>27802008
They are just volunteers, even Slashy pays people who work for him and he was already getting people educated in how to animate.
>>
>>27802008
Not everyone is going to bother to setup businesses dude, especially if they are doing small-time fan projects, working online, and are representing just themselves.
>>
>>27802154
>Not everyone is going to bother to setup businesses dude, especially if they are doing small-time fan projects, working online, and are representing just themselves.

I'm not demeaning anyone who doesn't I am simply saying that you can't go around calling people that "work for you" employees without knowing what it really entails. Call them what they really are: commissioners. Not only is that inaccurate by definition, a person can get in trouble if they get too big and if their respective state/country finds out they are making tons of money off of YouTube (after paypal reports them like some instances in Germany) but not reporting it on their taxes, they can get fines and their accounts frozen. I've seen it happen to a couple people before. However they were both coincidentally European.

Setting up a business can be expensive. I mean I live in MO where it is less than $100 to do an LLC (for my server hosting business), but Cali and Illinois charge upwards $850 for the initial setup. So of course most people shouldn't do it. But in Weim's case (as he explained in his video: https://youtu.be/fBri331Lc1A ), he needed to start paying taxes on his earnings so he did the smart thing by starting a business, and reported his profits making it so he ended up paying LESS than if he reported it without being under a licensed LLC. Same with Crowne. Just ask her in her next livestream. Weim was there too last night in the one they just had.
>>
>>27776321
My question is, if this series has been terrible for a while, why did it take this long for everything to just BLOW up?

>>
>>27802496
>it's been shitty for years.
I mean in MY opinion yea. I think it was a novel idea at the time (sorta) when it first started but I never watched it after 2 episodes because I found it boring. It just seems too fake to me. MA Larson is cool and all as a guest and they might think they are top notch content producers but I could care less to be truthful. Reaction channels require less work compared to others, so I got bored with them super fast. I personally like watching things that impress and awe me, like Jan and Duo's animation, Crowne's sense of humor and wit, WeimTime's ability create a MIDI for every song imaginable, the anon's of this board who make excellent trolls for TCR, Eile Monty's vocal range, L-Train and Carbon Maestro's orchestration ability, SGAP's musical ingenuity, the quality of art that can be pushed out by tsitra and others, I can go on.

But reactors? And horse famous personalities? No thanks. I'll save my time. But I wouldn't mind having a drink with them at a con.

What is with Bronies turning into furfags all of a sudden? it's been an epidemic lately... I have nothing against them, but damn...

>>27800048
If Saberspark was involved in ANY drama, do tell, 'cause he's one of the fewest people I know who like to avoid it and like to mind his own business in the fandom, the same goes with Paleo. It's weird, is it not? No one can be that pure in the fandom...

>>27802477
>My question is, if this series has been terrible for a while, why did it take this long for everything to just BLOW up?

I am 200% positive people have been blowing up about it for the last several years but it's rarely brought into other people's attention unless it's posted on a site like this. Trust me on this one.

I've hated the cult of the fandom for the last several years, and there are so few often times that we have a group discussion like this and see what the hell is going on and why do people still or continue to put horsefamous people on a pedestal compared to the rest of the Bronies in the fandom 'cause they're just like everyone else.

It depends on the person who's bringing the attention and the attention-e 'cause not everyone is going to be intimidated unless someone we know in the fandom say something or if it's posted here where we can all speak our minds anonymously.
>>
>>27802598
But if it has been, which I think it has, why did it take till now for people to realize that this series isn't funny and it just glorifying people in the fandom.

>What is with Bronies turning into furfags all of a sudden?

Can't speak for everyone, but for me it has to do with the fact that I've always been kinda "furry curious" but avoided it due to the stigma attached to it. But when bronies ended up having just as much, if not more of a stigma it seemed silly to try to avoid it still.

though I guess calling myself a furfag might not be completely accurate because I pretty much only engage with that community through /trash/
>>
>>27802802
Aren't ponies furry animals? Same with why Pokemon fans also tend to wind up being furries.
>>
>>27802643
It is hard to tell.

There are very few discussions about Bronies React here.
Reddit rarely talks about it, (though the response to the Bronies React: Friendship Games episode seems to be very negative towards it and the series as well)
Equestria Daily had nearly all of its comments deleted with a move to Disqus, so the only other post I can see the comment thread on is the Bronies React: Season 5 finale.

The YouTube comments are just filled with fans of the series.

The shocking thing is, no one submitted the latest episode to EQD and nearly everyone seems to have a sour opinion of it in the comments. It is also far more active than the previous Bronies React comment thread, so that could be something else. Were there just people waiting for an excuse to gripe about the series?

It just seemed that people either liked it or didn't care, now it seems like there is a huge haterbase for it that just never bothered to speak up.
>>
>>27802643
But we didn't start the fire, EQD did, we are just spreading it.
>>
>>27803058
I'm not implying we started it, it just how big sites like this and EQD works, it becomes full circles when we have this type of discussion about the fandom and horse famous people.
>>
>>27803113
Good circles or bad ones?

I'm not sure if I'd take it that far. If that were the case then every talking animal would be considered "furry". I'd only consider something furry if it was something made by furries for furries.

We also have to take into account that the fact that they are animals is not a part of MLP's core appeal. Most people started watching mlp despite the fact that it was ponies, not because of it.

On the other hand, I'd be willing to bet cash money that clop has been a gateway drug to furry porn for more than one person.

so kinda I guess?
>>
>>27803120
Doesn't necessarily matter if it's good or bad, people will talk if they have something to say in this fandom, especially if they're anonymous. on a site like this.
>>
>>27803158
>On the other hand, I'd be willing to bet cash money that clop has been a gateway drug to furry porn for more than one person.
>gateway drug

I never thought that term could be used for something other than its original purpose. kek

I really don't understand how >reacts have any fame to begin with. They are taking all the top content, sticking their face over it with dumb expressions and reaping the views. You become a content aggregation like 9gag, people come to see whats new and fresh not to see your "reaction".

Also undertale helped my channel quite a bit as well, I was wondering how well it would do in views if it had no ponies but my two undertale vids did quite well (2.8m and 660k).
>>
>>27803261
>I really don't understand how >reacts have any fame to begin with.

Because internet personality > content creativity

Kim Kardashian can't do shit and literally has no skill. She has personality. That's it. Yet she is one of the wealthiest women in America.

The world sucks anon. Remember when the majority of celebrities were actual scientists and big thinkers? Yea me neither.

Hah, that reminds me of an old episode of the sliders where they went to a universe where it was just that: scientists/engineers were the celebrities.

Is this guy mentally retarded? Even if you do gain"""friends""" you are going to get a following of autistic people who watch this crap.
With so many good artists and animators and whatever there is nowadays, this isn't a time to be cutting down on quality if you aim to make money.
>>
>>27803113
Most other communities honestly don't care unless it involves someone really respected. Derpibooru and MLPForums would probably ask you to stop wasting their time with that garbage.

You know what you might have a point, since both Reddit (/r/mylittlepony) and Roundstable both thought the series was incredibly stupid as well.

Both Reddit and Roundstable are the most hugboxy, overly positive communities in the fandom.
>>
>>27803990
I'd agree with you, but the MD and ND discussions are rarely MLP related.
>>
How would this fandom change if all the shitty, annoying, drama hungry analysts and reviewers left?
>>
>>27804366
I think it would make room for the creative content producers to all move up. Especially the ones who get easily discouraged when there stuff isn't featured on sites in place of analysts and reviewers. Also it would give the musicians there rightful place back in the fandom. I know plenty of people who are talented content makers or at least have a lot of potential for it, but they don't get the credit and support they need to keep motivated so they stop. Because let's be honest, most people aren't self motivated. And the ones that are don't stay that way for long.

I at least respect most of them, it takes a lot of dedication to not only develop these strategies, find exploits/glitches, and practice it so you can do it all in one go.

Autistic? Yes, but it definitely takes effort to pull off what they do, not everyone will have the patience to do that.

It has basically been a long time coming, someone just said what was on everyone's mind and posted it here. Basically mild annoyance turned to anger and spreading anger is what we do best.
