Sharp Catalog likes even numbers, organization, cleanliness and her platonic cuddle buddy slash roommate Tally. She is also likes having a job to alleviate her crippling debt, which is how she found herself working as a spy for the mob. She has to fight through her crippling anxiety and OCD tendencies to get the information they want or there'll be trouble in store for her. But at least her boss is pleasant.
As is the standard with Aight he writes fast and long with distinct characters no matter how small their part. The spelling isn't the best but doesn't take too much away from the story and the player commands integrate smoothly. There's no hint of non-existence syndrome. Prompts are routinely strong and there's a solid overall direction with quite a bit of freedom in how things are handled.
Aside from suggesting more proofreading, the only minor criticism I have is to let weak prompts slide if you wait long enough to get a reply to it. Adding a prompt and then replying to the one reply in the same post breaks the format. Which is more off-putting than just having that one weak prompt. Aight is the only QM I've seen do this to date.
Overall Dirty Work is a spy story with a SoL backdrop and does both well. And of course a cute MC prone to panic attacks. If you're interested in any of those, I'd recommend.

Depends on what you mean by special snowflakeness. Her disorder gets a massive amount of focus, is included in almost every post somehow, and significantly affects gameplay, but there's not a constant benefit or detriment to it nor is it pointed to with bright glowing arrows. It's smoothly written into the story.
It's similar to having a character be a changeling in how it's handled; it massively affects a lot of things, but it's just an element of the cyoa.
If you just mean that it makes the character relatively unique among cyoa mcs so far then yeah, that's true. Most MCs have some unique trait(s).
It also wasn't added for the sole purpose of being unique, it started with just being an orderly mare and the players immediately hammed it up.Plus having a mental disorder is the default when Doxel is part of your character creation.

Since the thread's nearly dead and it's flared up again, I wanted to say something about the whole DW thing before I shut up about it forever.
Sharpie feels like a crippled character. She seems incapable of real growth and I can't help but imagine a depressing end for her.
Tally will find someone who can give her what she needs and move out, and even when they're together they won't be able to be what they are now.
Sharpie will be left with a small group of friends, and none of them will be what Tally was.
She will spend the rest of her life living in a very quiet home alone with none of the affection she once had.
It leaves me with a sour feeling no other cyoa has managed to give me.I think it might just hit a little too close to home, and I've been autisticaly making myself feel a little better about it by imagining she'd adopt at some point.

Anyway, if we're going full tumblr with it, the asexual bit didn't answer the question of turning down Tally because Sharp could have still be romantically interested in her. Romantic attraction and physical attraction are sometimes separate and with asexuals more so than normal. So going back to the argument, we know she's not romantically attracted to mares and we know she's physically asexual, I've never heard anything about her not being romantically attracted to stallions from either the players or QM. Just that she's not physically attracted to them. She could be aromantic as well.
But I don't play Dirty Work so I don't really have an opinion and identity politics are retarded.

Well there's a distinction between romantically and emotionally. I can be really tight with a mate, do a lot together with him, and cry manly tears at his wedding, but I'd never be romantically involved with him. Romance usually implies the possibility of spending your life with someone, living together, possibly raising a family even if adopted. And physical intimacy normally, but that's already countered by other things. It's a different beast from just being emotionally involved/attached.
She could have meant physically instead of romantically, but if she were romantically interested it'd be odd to turn her down. Which could be countered by her being confused about asexuality and her feelings and whatnot at the time, since being romantically involved implies physical intimacy which she's not comfortable with. Nothing's really strictly off the table here, everything can be changed without contradictions if the players /really/ wanted.
But if there's not a hard push, or the QM just decides to close the book on the matter, there's no point.
