I know that feel anon, stupid broad of a psychiatrist convinced my parents that I was a massive autist some time in high school. The fact that I was so introverted from working on school so fucking much so they wouldn't get pissed with me for bad grades only made it easier for them to come to that conclusion. Thing is she completely overlooked the fact that I was suicidally depressed and only focused upon "de autisms".

this test honestly sounds more like it's geared towards people who are normal, while i tend to say fuck it to most social situations.

i have grown to despise wasting my time with other peoples shit to the point that i'm not interested in, sports where the first ones that got cut from my listening to.

over time i have gained a small group of friends who are all relatively like minded, and we don't bother each other with shit none of us like. granted i also am horrible at social situations that should be simple... like the fuck do i put on my uncles birthday card when i see him once a fucking year? do i love him? is that appropriate to put on it? i mean the thought of him dieing is upsetting, but to i put happy birthday, love, my name or what?

i'm far better in social situations where anything i do isn't also part of a group of people who for better or worse will always be a part of my life.

Worst thing is, if anyone of you see me IRL, you'll think i'm 50.
After years, i've learned what not to do and what to do, with a SHITLOAD of failure.
The only thing is, since i'm shit at social situations, i take advantage of it, and do shitload of puns, jokes, and do weird shit. That way people think i'm weird but normal kind of weird.
It went to a point that if i talk to my mother about the fact that i think i'm autistic/asperger, she'll laugh, call me hypondriac, and stop listening.
Even though i'm shit at social stuff. Like for example, two guys died in the college i am, and i fucking made jokes and did shit like that, and it's just after i realized everybody looked kinda sad and nobody was laughing. The only reason people some people think i'm not autistic is because i'm really good to follow others lead.

But yeah, the test is geared toward normal people. That's why most autists get a really low score and normal people get around 50. And that's shit.
We need a test made for normal people and autists.

again, the only reason i knew him was because he was big and the halls had some more space after he passed.

my ability to care was zero, especially because my year and the year above me at one point decided it would be fun to surround and beat the shit out of me, there were so few people who didn't participate in that that i literally only gave a fuck about 5 people in the school after it happened, the number grew a few years into highschool but largely, just fuck everyone around me i don't care about them and they sure as fuck don't care about me, they showed me that personally.

The test keeps asking things like "If you're in situation x, do you know what to do?"
I do know what is acceptable/polite behaviour, I just don't care. And I imagine many people here feel the same way.
I'm not uncomfortable in social situations, but I prefer to be alone. I like my quiet time.
But with these tests it's always like if you're the person at a party that keeps to themself then you're an autist.

I used to go out of my way to listen to people and help, but I found in the end that most people just used me as a sounding board for their own issues, and when it came time for me talk about my problems they weren't willing to listen.

Holidays and birthdays get under my skin sometimes.

Is lack of empathy actually a trademark of autism? I always thought that was more of an apserger's thing.

I wouldn't say I'm autistic or an aspie, though I won't be TOO surprised if I did land somewhere on the spectrum. And I wouldn't say i have no empathy, I just don't really care or care much about certain things. Maybe that does mean I have no empathy.
