I just discovered there was another dub to Shin-Chan!

The dub I was referring to was the Funimation Dub. It appeared on Adult Swim and was basically an abridged series, making things up as they went. Not to mention they swore a lot.

Then there's Vitello Dub.
A kid friendlier UK version of Shin-chan that seems to be more of a slice of life comedy, like the rugrats. Speaking of which, Shin is voiced by the same voice actor that did Phil and Lil from Rugrats, while Shin in the US is voiced by the talented almost everywhere just as much as Tara Strong, Laura Bailey.

Moondancer will work well because she was also a magic academy student and so she could help Twilight generate a very sensible backstory for Radiant Dawn.

Pinkie Pie might be good to make her story way more exciting which will make her all the more endearing to Nighty, and given how much fun it will be to watch their relationship unfold, it will be easy for her to keep that secret.

Maybe as Radiant Dawn, Twilight can discover from Nighty that he is kind of upset that he can't seem to accomplish anything without her support and that he will always be best known as her kid.

Maybe that could be a reason he is building the robot, he wants to do something unique and amazing on his own, he wants to leave a mark on history like his family has.

Applejack would disagree with her plan, but I feel as though Applejack shouldn't know about it in the beginning. I think Twilight would tell her she is getting Nighty a marefriend and what she thinks of it, Applejack would likely sense she isn't telling the whole story and be suspicious. Later Applejack could come by at some point while Twilight is practicing her transformations and the whole incest, trust, heartbreak shebang could in sue.
