ponies seem to have about 240-260 degrees of view. far more than human, they also have less binocular vision than in the show, as their eyes in 3d clearly do not face the viewer as a human would.

This image gives an example of animated eyes on a human and the distortion present when an eye is not faced head on, as perspective makes the iris and pupil flatten and fade into flatness as opposed to viewing head on, in the way the three dimensional object does. Ironically while this aspect doesn't exist in mlp the show until you move very very far away from their forward field of view as depicted in the first screen shot i posted, the distortion is present in the images you provided, and that distortion is only apperant from the forward facing ponies, rather than at it's side. this is because the eyes hut the sides of their faces and allow them superior peripheral vision, just like a prey animal does. The distortion of the eye that appears in this image appears because the eye is not being seen head on, and likewise, the distortion in your image is the same way.

Ergo, the eyes are placed on the sides of the head, and their field of view is determined from this. which becomes even more clear when looking at one of these toys from multiple angles.

See this is what a real story would be yes, it would be awesome. but this is DHX, a revolving door of faggot writers with no consistency creativity, nor desire to push out good episodes. Everyone knows shit like this is possible with just about any episode in the same way we know this is never going to happen. Only fanfic writers can pull this kind of thing off because only they are limited by having to collaborate and can make executive decisions as the writer without having some faggot director or other writers come in and piss all over your work after the fact or even during it.

The environment in DHX actively poisons that kind of creativity, its why faust left. and it's why anyone with a smidgeon of actual passion wont stay in that hell hole for long either unless they are genuinely a sadist.
