I'm about to moved on to a hard line sketch for each of these. Any advice? I've never drawn a Gryphon before. I'm not asking for someone to take all the time to redline. Hey, don't sweat it.

I just use the gimp for my image editing. In this case removing the circle was just a case of a magic wand select, growing the selection and filling it in. Knowing some basic image editing is over all super useful and I can recommend picking it up. It's a good skill to have, and you typically don't even have to be too good at it to do simpler edits.

The first kind of edit I did can be a more tricky and time consuming thing to get right though, since you have to fill in for missing content.

I have to give credit to the awesome sketch I'm vectorizing. The expression and style in the source is great. I must say I really love how clean yet detailed the vectors turn out with the style I use, although there are problems with hands where there is a lot of layering.

Only problem for me is that doing vectors is a really slow process. It seems people really like my style though which is a nice thing to see.

Gearhead here, automatics have 3 or four gears. manuals have 5-6 (5 on diesels and higher torque vehicles) and big rigs have anywhere from 13-28 based on size, the larger you'd get for cars, the higher the gear amount.

There are over a hundred tutorials and since you're new, it's less important that you have a style and more important for you to learn proportions. You can always branch off with your own style, but for now you should work on that. Before I crit you, your drawing really isn't bad at all; it definitely won't be too difficult for you to fix the things that should be fixed.

For now, the horn shouldn't be so curved, it should be very straight lines with a rounded tip rather than super pointy, the torso is also too long and the muzzle is too round, and the arm/leg proportions need a bit of work too. Don't be discouraged though, because you're starting out with something a lot better than some of us started with, so I highly believe you can fix this/future drawings fairly easily. Keep up the good work
