I actually thought this was going to be the last season. Then one more Equestria Girls movie, and then the 2017 movie.

But it may run into Season 7.

I have a feeling its going to be a while, we got a movie coming up and a new toy line which will probably have its own movie series or it will be season 7+ so as long as hasbro has things to rip off and/or milk then we will be seeing MLP for a while

I think it will run forever, until even the most droney of the hasdrones can no longer shill post for it.

I want it to end after this season, with some minor lead up to the movie. I know the franchise won't ever "end", but I really wish we could see a transition to a new show, and away from FiM after season 7. They can keep the same universe and animation style, just please swap the cast and time period.

I believe some years ago Hasbro said they would commit to ten seasons. All the news sites had articles on this fact. I should really dig them up since threads and this question keeps coming up.
