I almost did this to be honest. When ANon comes home and finds his dad sleeping on the counter, he was supposed to be dead. In the morning, he founds out his dad was sniped in the forehead. An officer named Stan and his friend Kirby take him to the current Commissioner Gordon, where then shortly after he is adopted by an elderly and retired Bruce Wayne. I wrote it out, but it started to take away from the tone I wanted. Plus, as I said before, I've already written Anon as Batman.

I'm a writer, and when I'm writing something I put effort in, I put emotion into my characters. Because of this, I am intune with the characters in another media. For example, I can break down why Rainbow is such a cunt in five words: She wants to be important. She always has, and feels she isn't recognized enough. In order to compensate this, she seeks to be the best, and tells herself she is. Twilight is similar in that she wants to do her best...but more because she has anxiety issues. Despite that, Twilight is a very competent character who learned to break out of her shell and rose to the occasion because she's a responsible and intelligent pony. I can't put it into words on how you grow to understand these characters--you just do. You start to get a feeling for what they would and wouldn't do, and your mind as a writer elaborates on that.

In Equestria Girls, the characters are NOT themselves. I'll explain why as I watch it.

Dude, the first movie is abysmal in terms of writing, characterization, and even animation. It's one of the worst things of the series overall by far.

The second movie did better, but had way too much pointless shit stuffed into it so that the bronies would cream themselves that could been used to fix how terribly the m6 were portrayed or given more depth to the villains or anything else that would've had some kind of merit.

The third movie has fixed a lot of these flaws and portrays the characters that we already know extensively better than how they were in the past two and doing okay with two of the newer ones. The other newer ones were flat and irrelevant, but I'd much rather that have happened than having the entire M6 be bastardized and turned into shallow assholes like they were previously. The plot was much more engaging and the antagonists were on screen long enough for you to fully understand their mindset and goals.

Overall:
