That toyline actually sounds like it could be cool. Could we see some playsets?

Wow. I just realized all of the existing playsets are castles. The one exception is the barn stand. Which seems like just a plastic stand up and not actually a playset.

It's been 5 years. Faust was asked to redo the Carousel Boutique to be less complicated so it'd be toyetic enough.

Each of the ponies live in an inspired toyset just waiting to happen.

All the little girls wanting to reenact their favorite episodes and make their own have to go old school and use a toy car mat for Ponyville or just have Cloudsdale be their bed and use their imagination.

I thought they were in the money making business. Five years and they've just now made this Fluttershy's cottage toy.

I guess it keeps costs down for more accessories and so parents can buy more of them?

I have read exactly 0 words of fanfiction before pony, unless you count non-lovecraft Cthulhu things as fanfiction (which they really are.) From personal experience, pony got so big that it has actual original and creative ideas popping up every once in a while instead of just "here's a short story idea, let's write it, it'll be cute and it will be like a slice of life thing" that a lot of fanfiction actually is.

Reading the description, wow, Cheerilee's Garden sounds awful. Did someone suggest you read it or were all the popular kids doing it?

I remember being interested in a story someone was writing a long time ago that was based around a pony song I really liked. Not one of those edgy ones. I can't remember the song now. But they didn't want to release it until it was finished. "Great", I thought, it means it'll be short.
I think there was an update in the song's comments about how they were writing chapter 43 at the time and mentioning OC names and they said they were crying about how emotional writing it made them.

I think that was the point where I decided fanfiction wasn't that great of an idea. It's a sea of turds with hidden gems and I didn't feel like dealing with it.
