The eyes look too human-like for my taste. I like that more iconic "wide eyed" look. Again, personal taste.

Giving the legs more dimensions something I need to work on too. Though I'm not against marshmallow legs either.

Personally, I'm not too sure about the defined shoulders as it kinda takes away depth but dennybutt is a great artist either way. I'd define them more through shading than line art.
Chin is a bit too big I think, and her right eye I think shouldn't stick out of the face that much.
Eyes are a bit too small for my taste as well.

It's a plain paper texture I found on google. I enlarged it to 3150 x 2400 so I'd have a big canvas to sketch on. I can't work on a white background because it gives me crazy eyestrain since I draw mainly at night.

I applaud you for trying new things and being playful but the other anon is right. You really need work. When doing a work like that it's important to really understand where your weaknesses lie. As you were drawing that piece, I'm sure you ran into a lot of roadblocks. If you're going to be serious about drawing then I would write these roadblocks down and have it be something you look into at a later date. Learn to ask yourself questions.

The thing that is jarring to me the most is the table which tells me you really don't understand perspective or how to find the ground plane in relation to the horizon. Your chair is missing some legs to boot.

You're very much still symbol drawing to a large degree. The ear is a dead giveaway. If you were trying to imply it was swiveling back towards us then you have to ask yourself if that makes sense compositionally. "Does that ear going back help the over all feeling of this drawing or does it help with the story i'm trying to tell." The answer is probably no. We're all guilty of this at some point. Hell I still do it some times and need to stop myself.

I really like your rarity but even then the foreleg is too stubby.

Been experimenting with this flexible "pommel horse" shape in substitute to the more classical bean shape and I think I'm getting better results with it. I've been using it to redline as well and I think it's very reliable for finding where the farthest limbs go in perspective. I have a lot of trouble using the bean shape and I always have for some odd reason. I've been experimenting with "boxing up" my heads. The twilight sketch was a delivery for the Skype chat I hang out in. Someone wanted a baby-bird twilight asking for worms.

Only thing I have on perspective isn't pony related. It's a 4-5- hour series by Marshall Vandruff filmed in a classroom way back in the 1990s.
