Ever see the 'Equestria Invasion' threads pop up every so often? It's basically a groups attempt of doing just that and fucking up with a 2 year old story. One thread nearly every week for well over a year and a half and multiple writers can't even finish a single, shitty story.
>>
>>25895917
>>25895964

I think it's a pretty good idea - some kind of closure is better than nothing.
>>
>>25895917
Why would anyone would want to do this?
>>
>>25894707
rest in peace moe.archive
>>
>>25895989
It's difficult to do in some cases. Most stories that require 'closer' are done so because there's some kind of story that people are interested in (not just mindless clop) and in most cases the author has an ending planned and in most cases would account for that subtly in the main story. Unless you were to actually talk to the writer, you'd never know what that plan was and even if you could derive something from what already existed you'd have a hard time piecing it together the wrong way around or knowing what is and isn't important to the central plot. Or maybe that was just how I wrote my unfinished story.

He always abandons ship, if it's the same guy from a year or two ago. He ran one waaaay back that I believe finished, and then every other time he sporadically started one up, he'd pull a disappearing act.
>>
>>25895989
sounds like a good way to drive off writefags in general, especially after all those stories where they finished at a good spot but the anons just want it to keep going forever for some reason; nothing more insulting than having some asshole taking over someone else's work.
>>

Unfortunately, we've driven most of them off already. The attrition rate for /MLP/ has to be just a couple of weeks.

Once a promising writefag appears their fans go apeshit until they crush the writers with "moar moar moar".

We probably burnout writers within the first two or three threads.
>>
>>25896280
I think that varies from writer to writer. I'd certainly not take any offence to anyone continuing or even rewriting any of my stories.
Sure, it would perhaps be more of an issue if they were doing it while I was still working on it, but if it's something that I've last worked on a month or a year ago, or made clear that I'm not finishing, then I really wouldn't care. In fact, showing that sort of attention to my story would be kind of flattering. I'm not going to be able to decide what other people do anyway, so there's no reason for me to be upset over it.
I'm naturally only speaking for myself here, and I'd expect some writefags to disagree, but I don't think it's a given that it will drive everyone off.
>>
>>25896445
How do you think generals start? A single writer starts a story, they do a good job and the anons in the thread keep demanding moar and moar, but no one else steps up to writer something else to keep the thread active instead of it being a bump fest. Damn I'd that's not how they end up though.

They had a story about a Royal Guard who just got out of Academy Training as a Lieutenant and is slowly falling in love with Luna but is being sent off to war so Luna distances herself from him before he is shipped out, the writefag who wrote it deleted his pastebin for it even though it was a amazing story it was called Soldiering On.

Lokilorien's current two. He's stopped posting altogether currently in /moon/ and the marital problems threads, though understandable since he's busy with Law School.

I'm hoping he at least gets around to them over next summer. Those two stories are top-tier constructed.
>>
There was a story from around half a year ago. It featured Anon keeping the Dazzlings as prisoners and the last part I remember was him hanf
having rough sex with Adagio and completely dominating her. There was another story with a similar idea but less cruel and focused more on Aria who would misbehave.

Also, two Lemon Zest stories from when FG first came out, the thread later became a Crystal Prep thread then it died out.

There was this one story about anon who liked Sunset but she was under the impression he liked Pinkie. I think it was back when there were way to many Sunset threads, but it was probably my favorite of those.
>>
I had a couple going on at once at one point. Both of 'em sparked a new general apiece (with the second one getting it's footing alongside two other writefags). The second one itself was started because the story told by the writefag who started the thread ended it on a rather unsatisfying note, so I decided to write it again from the ground up.

I eventually got help with the first general from a couple other writefags before they dissappeared from the thread entirety. Eventually, interest for both began trailing off, and there was no way I could revive it. Not at the pace I was writing anyway, and certainly not after an unfavorable decision I had made regarding a lewd scene in my first story. I let the first general slip away quietly after the previous edition failed to make it to the tripple diggets in the post count. The story itself is still sitting there at 160 pages, waiting for me to finish it and revise it.

I don't know what happened to the second general. I don't even know if the stories got finished. I just sort of left it to its own devices and took a break from /mlp/. That story needs a total re-write, which has begun. Not much progress has been made, but it is underway.

Right now, I'm writing yet another story, but it's for a pre-established general with plenty of posters, so I'll get more interest there. It's turning out to be another long one, and I'm trying to make sure it doesn't get abandoned.

>>25894902
>I don't abandon shit

Horseshit. Jeff drew more attention to the first general than I did, and one day he just stopped updating his story. No warnings, no goodbyes, he just fucking dropped it.

God dammit, I forget the name of it, but it was a EQG Fluttershy story about her abusive Aunt and Uncle, and how Anon takes her in and tries to protect her from her batshit crazy Uncle after he gets out of jail. I really wish I remember the name, but I remember the threads getting overrun with shitposters so badly that the writefag stopped making the threads. Fuckers, I was enjoying that story.
>>
>>25898879
A few things I remember about the story:
-"Orgy" with the mane cast on Thanksgiving
- Car accident where Anon is transported to alternate world where he committed sudoku, then comes back but the notes the girls gave him in the alt world were thrown away by the tow truck driver because they were bloody
- Search warrant for Anon's apartment because of suspicious pedophilia with Fluttershy, luckily finding nothing
- I believe the story ended around a confrontation between Anon and Fluttershy with Flutters' Uncle in a fast food joint, but I could be wrong

Anyone have any information on this story?

I came to this thread to make sure this was accounted for. You are my nigga.

SS&E, I don't care that the episodes since have made the story necessary for a rewrite, it doesn't. Just keep moving forward from that point.

I need to see it through to the ending.
It's nearly as long as FO:E but better. It was such a commitment for the writer to write and so much for the reader to read. I don't normally cry over books but I cried like a bitch at multiple points of that story.

SS&E will probably never pick it back up though since it's been so long.

I absolutely refuse to read unfinished fanfics now no matter what length because of how much emotion and thought I have committed to a plot that may never be resolved.

The name of the fanfic is The End of Ponies.

It sounds grimdark as fuck- and it is. But not in the cringey way. It's philosophical as fuck like a lot of SS&E's trainwrecks. If you've ever got into Background Pony you would dig The End Of Ponies.
But for the love of god don't start reading it, SS&E doesn't seem to want to acknowledge it anymore.

For all the writefags out there who've stopped...
What, by and large, caused you to stop writing or just "postpone" current stuff indefinitely?
>>
>>25900186
I felt like I was wasting time writing greentext when I always had the idea to write the story proper and post it up on FimFiction so I stopped with the promise of writing it prose on FimFiction and then never got around to it; realising why I wrote greentext in the firs place.

Would I ever go back to it though? Fuck no. Dreadful story. All the characters were shit, baring maybe one, and the story was just going to get worse and worse from where I stopped.

You don't belong there anymore. Everyone is simply waiting....for you to go extinct. To pass quietly into the night forever. The last of your kind.

People lost interest.

I don't need constant ass pats when I write, just one or two people commenting whenever I make an update. Just so I know I'm not wasting my time writing my story. it'd also be nice to have a poster count of at least 10, but I'm not picky.

I know, I know, I should write for myself. But by large, I write for the enjoyment of others. The two generals I created were not created because I wanted to write the stories, but because someone requested them, and I was interested in the subject.

No one cared, for one.
But mainly I realized that I was writing goddamn My Little Pony fanfiction, Say that outloud if you actually did do stories, long stories. You wrote My Little Pony fanfiction. In public, if you ever hear the word fanfiction, it probably brings out the cringe in you. Now realize that you yourself are also a culprit in this, and for something like My Little Pony.

Let that truly sink in. I have, and I doubt I'll ever forgive myself for this.
>>
>>25900186
Mostly, it's because I write stream-of-consciousness.

I've written myself into a corner a few times, where I can't really retcon shit without invalidating something I put a lot of work into making work right. But significantly worse is when I'll write something that caught my eye, and I'm really fucking into it, and then in order to not get fired or fuck up relationships, eventually I'll have to step away.

Then I come back, and as much as I try, I can't force myself back into the same mindset as when I wrote it originally. Everything feels really hollow and forced, like I'm prodding the characters in a certain direction rather than writing what they would naturally do/say. And the pain of abandoning a story, lying to myself that one day I'll feel the right way to write it so it's not fucked, is just the tiniest bit less than the pain of knowing I had a good thing going that people liked and then fucked it up by trying to force it.
>>
>>25900901
I used to unironically write and consume fanfiction in gross quantities. When I say fanfiction, I mean in the traditional sense that brings the cringe out in us. I'm much happier now knowing I write shitty greentext fanfiction than shitty fanfiction fanfiction.

>>
>>25901252
It's the nature of /mlp/ fanfictions. People don't come to read greentext out of ideal boredom, they come looking for some kind of relief from whatever shitty hand life has dealt them.

It might be pathetic, but for some it's the only form of escape they get, and when a story ends without any kind of resolution it's like a knife in the heart.

This pretty much, but even still I've mostly just been super busy. Like, losing my house and shit. I didn't do anything massive, just some parody crossover shit in the Normal Norman threads, but it's fun to write and hear people enjoy what I do, it can be a little rough when people hold expectations of shit like time constraints though. Believe me, I love writing, I actually think it's one of my favorite pass times, but anything made into commitment, especially when it's unintentionally, is tough. That's why I just write when I can and look for the guys who appreciate what I write and I have no problem writing more for them. There was another in the same thread this one was created, where Fluttershy "successfully" bullied Anon but in reality he was just doing it for shits and giggles, and it gives Flutters confidence and a decent amount of the Mane 6 girls try to get Anon to submit to them.

Instead of listing the misery of unfinished stories, because this time of the year is already hard enough on some Anons, why don't we list some of our favorite finished stories?

Just assume any of the human in Equestia stories that's not vomit inducing were originally green. Back in late 2012 and early 2013 it was a little fad to rewrite for fimfic because some writefags found out how to rig that shit and make someone featured. Our grammar chat became illuminati chat for a bit.

ASMR when?
>>
>>25912685

Great Question. One I don't mind answering. We're currently in "Recording" phase. I've had the script done for a few months now, but the project was put on hold when our Voice Actress's Microphone broke. Thanks to the holiday season, this has been remedied, and we're back in action. There isn't much that I do in this phase other than answer questions from Anons and make little revisions to the script here and there. Here's hoping that the project gets done soon.

TL;DR: It's not dead, but no release date yet.

I never blew up in popularity like numerous others did. Good thing too because I have a few stories I haven't touched in over a year. I think the best part about not drawing attention is I can work on stuff at a leisurely pace and explore more creative ideas without worrying about keeping an audience entertained, and if someone happens to come across it and happens to like it that's okay.
>>
>>25900186
For me, It was the loss of internet access for an extended period of time. My PC broke down and I was unable to secure a replacement for two months. Without it, I couldn't do any writing, watch the show or generally surf the internet about MLP. By the time I had a new PC I already finished recovering from pone withdrawal and the fact that I gained access to a ton of vidya that my old toaster couldnt run didnt help my case. I still sometimes dream of writing some of the projects that I had lined up or finish/reboot the stories that I have but I'm hesitant because I already managed to "get off the ride".

I realize writing it via pen and paper was an option but I dare not have any easily discovered physical evidence of my degeneracy.

Why?
Multiple reasons. And I know other writefags will agree/disagree with some of them if they relate.

>Real Life Shit
Real life gets in the way. Maybe work is on your ass, or you just got a SO.

>Lack of/over attention
This one people seem to go off the deep end about. Lack of attention isn't so much "NO ONE'S PAYING ATTENTION TO ME" but more of "Why would I write if people aren't going to read it?" A lot of people will say, "Oh, you should be writing because you enjoy it." Yes, that is true. But you wouldn't upload it to the public without the intent of having people read it, would you? On the other hand, people get too much attention and it drives them nuts so they stop entirely so they don't deal with the fuckwits.

>Boredom
Face it. Writers grow bored. Whether it's because they don't enjoy writing pone any more, or because they just lose interest in writing all together.

As for me, I was only known for organizing things in the AiE threads, and once I realized that, I stopped. No one cared for my stories other than my friends. And I'm fine with that.

This, especially this. We crush them with unreasonable expectations and grind their inspiration down within a couple of threads.

I've never seen a fandom burn out writers so quickly.

Most instances, it's both.

It's a paradox, at least for me. I write for shitty, one-off prompt threads that interest me, because threads that are too unfocused like Nightly Twilight, Sun-Day, AiE, and FlutterRape don't give me any inspiration. A lot of stories I've written I'll fuck off of because either 3 people are actually following the thread, or suddenly it becomes a temporary "general" and I don't want to contribute to the cancer that is the board.

I really need to learn how to finish a story within one thread so they don't spawn follow-ups.
>>
>>25916441
I know exactly how you feel. I wrote for the Pinkamena threads when they popped up, but outside of that I didn't drop into generals all that much. Admittedly, though, I did a couple of times in EQGFB. I'd still drop into Strange Waifu if it was ever up.

The longer the story draws out to appease pic related, the higher the chances that the writefag will step away from their computer and say fuck it. Let them write a story and finish.

If they decide to do more, they'll do more.
>>
>>25916467
Strange Waifu is just odd enough that I'd want to write for it, but not so odd that it'd be me and one other Anon. I wrote a thing for Coke Pones that would fit in that general niche.

So, are we going to actually have a "finish your shit, writefags" thread? I'll commit to nothing, but it sounds like a good idea on the surface at least.

If your starting to lose interest or inspiration, give it a quick wrap up while you still have some motivation.

Please.

You can leave yourself with enough room to pick it back up later if you want, but at least give your readers some sense of closure.

Some might argue otherwise, but I'd much rather have preemptive closure than just stop abruptly.

Your characters are going to be flat and boring if you don't interact with new people and remind yourself what talking to other human beings is like. You can't with any great accuracy write about something you can't relate to; it makes sense that you would need to go out and actually experience things before you could write something worth talking about.

>>25917057
I take a kind of perverse pride in it. The idea that someone who's as much of a loser as me has even once managed to incite another human being to feel something as a result of my writing (lust, contentment, sorrow, anything honestly) is kind of empowering, and only moreso because the subject matter is 3-foot-tall rainbow-colored horses and one green faceless dude's desire to fuck them.

Rarity's Little Helper & Rarity's Little Helper: Love is War (http://pastebin.com/u/Balrune)

Minion causes Trixiefags to wail and gnash their teeth, but he did write one hell of a Rarity AiE story.

He was one of the best new writers last year & mulp burned him out per usual.

I followed his Rarity & Trixie threads and he wrote a couple of thousand words a day between two stories for three or 4 months straight.

Guy still couldn't catch a break though, people kept piling on requests for his next stories even while he was writing two stores (anyone got a screencap of his waifu queue?) I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he had a nervous breakdown.

He was a legitimately nice guy; the board is slightly dimmer without him.

If you're reading Minion, we really miss you, and I hope you finally got that Screwball plushie.

Here's a new one. I /did/ finish my story. I started on some run-of-the-mill prompt and got a surprising number of readers along for the ride. Worked on that story for an eternity but eventually IRL stuff got in the way. I rushed out an ending before I had to stop and felt good about the fact that I didn't turn out to be one of 'those' writefags.

Now I can't stand to even think about the story because it could have been so much better if I had the time to write out the ending better. The irony? One of the anons liked it so much that he's making the story into an e-book file and putting it online for me. I'm going back to edit the pastebin and make the extended version that the story deserves, but I'd say that only 10 people or so will actually read the version I wanted everyone to have in the beginning when the threads were still alive.

The point I'm making is: sometimes it's better to have a good unfinished story than a really good story with a shit ending.

Anything MLP related is a bit easier imo because the characters are already there and there's a shit ton of fans of the series who are dying for extra content. I see so many tired reused prompts posted 2 or 4 times a with no interest in them.

For the writers who seem drawn to prompt threads, do you have any advise on writing a solid prompt that's likely to draw in a writer?

Every writer is different, so there's not going to be a good catch all that will work. And saying "make a prompt that's different" isn't helpful. Largely, prompts that attract writers are ones that make Anon look like some kind of hero. From homeless ponies, to war threads, there's usually something unique that Anon is being asked to bring to the table, which ties into the idea of him using whatever he brings to the table as leverage for sex. That's what attracts readers and writers. That, and just providing different scenarios for sex with different kinds of ponies.

Like I said, every writer is different. I usually never touch this stuff with a ten foot pole, but from an outside perspective, this is usually the stuff that attracts hordes of Anons to come flooding in.

Also, don't sacrifice character. The more in character you can keep the pony in your prompt, the easier it is to get people to suspend disbelief.

I've been looking for prompts that I like for the last few days to no avail.

From my point of view, a prompt that is most likely to hook a writer is one that doesn't come with a lot of restrictions. Something that is open-ended enough that they can just use it as a jumping-off point to write pretty much anything that could possibly come to mind.

My own example of this is that I DID find some threads with interesting concepts that I considered writing about, but they all came with implications that I personally couldn't or didn't want to find ways to work with.

It was a combination of factors. The irritating drama wasn't the least of it, but it also wasn't the biggest factor.

The Shermanator began writing as a mode of escape from a debilitating series of surgeries brought about by some unfortunate kidney-stone related incidents. His recovery lasted for approximately three months, after which he had to return to his full-time job. As such, the volume of content he could put out was restricted and he grew further frustrated by his inability to keep up.

The drama bombs which 'chased him off' weren't confined to just the thread. The core writers of AiE at the time were formed into a tightly knit clique via skype conversations, and the other writers didn't really like him. Several, in particular, didn't make any attempt to be in any way subtle about this. Sherm generally tries to avoid conflict in most settings, so being unable to show his face to the thread without the entire community - both inside and out of the threads - going haywire didn't make things appealing to continue.

He's taken away some very good friends from AiE, though. To this day he praises the AiE community for giving him shelter when he needed it and giving him the opportunity to meet some people who have since become his best friends.

All that said, he does lurk the AiE threads. He tells us that much. And every once in a while, he can be seen posting there with his tripcode, which he sometimes forgets to take off as he uses it on other boards.

I'm not sure how much I can say without violating his privacy, but he is in a position where he could very much get back to writing. He has done it for years, has shared story ideas with us, and is constantly thinking up new stories. The thing that most keeps him from it now days is that even the slightest hint of action is seen as 'edge' in current board culture, and he was already a pretty edgy writer when he wanted to be.

Its often because most authors begin to resent their work as they "mature". Sometimes they want to start over within the same community with a new identity or sometimes they leave the community behind and move on but use similar tags.

Won't speak for everyone, but...

Picture that relates to the prompt. You have to post something to start a thread, might as well make it something that coincides with your prompt.

Minimal set-up, usually one line of dialogue from the pone in question will work. Give it some hook, whether it be in the form of mentioning an event, expressing an idea, something that the writer can actually latch onto.

Contrary to what you might think, don't make it explicitly lewd, just hint at it. Half the fun of writing smut is the build-up, "ram my pretty pony pussy" as the opening line necessitates either writing uninteresting clop, or starting your story in medias res and then backtracking.

Once a writer pops in, give them a few posts to test the waters (2 to 5), and provide feedback from there. Honest feedback works best, mention things you like or things you'd rather not see; I do a lot better responding to requests than acceding to demands, personally. I've continued stories I thought I was done with because someone suggested something cool I wanted to write, but I've very rarely felt more motivated to write after posts that just have >>25916545's pic related.

Obviously, these are just guidelines, a good enough picture can counteract a shit prompt, and a good suggestion to build on a boring prompt can make it appealing to write for. Just don't let the thread become a general ("hurr, all guard pony posts here!") and it's probably cool.

>>
>>25925339

This >>25903295 is a good example of such a prompt. It's an interesting concept, relatively cute picture, short enough that it's open-ended as to how to respond, and the writers so far seem to be doing well as far as not being either inundated with "MOAR" or booed off the stage.

Incidentally, that is one of maybe 3 threads I'd consider writing in on the board right now. Granted, I thought Star Wars Episode VII was uninspired at best, and so am discarding all the MLP/SW prompts (and there are a lot of them) flippantly. Everything else is either a CYOA, a general, or dogshit given written form.

>>25927463
Vinyl was always kind of loosely defined as a character, before Hasbro decided to make her canon. And after they made her canon, they also made her mute and singularly focused on music. I imagine it'd be tough to write a Vinyl AiE that lasted more than 3 posts now, given that the extent of her interactions with Anon would be nodding her head, making hoof gestures, and ignoring him in favor of music.

It's unnecessary to keep strictly to Hasbro's depection of Vinyl, she doesn't have to be mute in a story. Look at flutterrape, that's taking a wild leap towards assuming her inner personality, but they've kept beating that genre along for 2 years.

If we can write about Fluttershy being a raging nymphomaniac behind closed doors, then it shouldn't be too hard of a stretch to have Vinyl talk to the main character 'off camera'.

tl;dr I'm a shameless vinylfag, and the drought of green has been unbearable.

Technically I never stopped, I just shifted generals/subjects, operating under a new name because I prefer to not coast on previous accolades, no matter how inconsequential. Even if it's most likely not as much of an issue as I feel like it is. Though I won't deny waning interest in the original subject wasn't a factor.

I'd definitely like to go back to the four separate unfinished stories I have in the old one and finish them one day, just to give them closure, but it may be difficult to return due to how radically different my new subject is from the old one.

Jeff, I haven't heard a bad word about you in any Trixie threads, just fear that you might have vanished. Because of Gadget & Minion, Trixiefags have a knee jerk reaction whenever a writer takes a break longer than 48 hours.

Don't rush the end, just let the thread know when the story has to be put on the back burner for real life.

We've kept, and will continue to keep the faith; you've already given us nearly 60k worth of great green.

and I'm still sticking to my plan of getting your story hardbound & that autographed copy

Growing Pains by Peroth E
Epic adventure fic with more spirited worldbuilding than most other works out there. Explanations and investigations into the origins and history of Equestria and the world, more mechanics on how it works, and just general expansion on every facet of the lore. I especially liked how Equestria was practically the globe's 'promised land' and our normal-ass mane 6 are considered figures of legend. The nations introduced have their cultures thoroughly explained or depicted through the story. In particular the differing views on the pony species in other nations, like how all the pegasi in Coltriella serve in the military.

fuck cloppin tho, just fuck that guy

Writing for yourself is such a horseshit concept. If you were writing for yourself then you could do it in a word doc offline or on a sheet of paper, throw into a desk drawer and be done with it. If you're writing online, even greentext, you're writing for others. For yourself in that you want recognition, but it takes the others to receive that.

There's nothing wrong with wanting that acknowledgement. Receiving accolades or critiques help you improve.
>>
>>25933359
Can't it just be a combo of both? That you write for yourself and for other people?

Self improvement doesn't require other people as a necessity. It helps, but one can self reflect and make progress that way as well. Just read blog of other writers and have a bit of a perfectionist streak.
>>
>>25933359
You act like it's some sort of dichotomy here, but there really isn't.
I mostly only write whenever I feel a drive to do so, and if I'm pleased with it or it feels appropriate, I post it here. It's not uncommon for me to partially or completely write down a story, and then post it here if I see a relevant thread. Or not at all. I've got tons of, mostly unfinished, stories that I haven't posted and that I don't really intend to post, but that I had a lot of fun writing. The reason most of the stories that I write for myself are unfinished is because when I'm the only one reading it, I'm not so much concerned with it having a proper ending or structure. I just really like the process of writing itself.

But I do post some stories here, and I have written normal stories form a prompt, though I've mostly stopped doing the latter. And I do absolutely want some response, some criticism, and some acknowledgement. That's why I share my writing, and I often feel better about stories that I've both enjoyed writing and have enjoyed the response they've gotten. But I don't NEED to write for others, and I find myself doing it less and less. I'm just some "literally-who"-tier writefag, and if you look at my pastebin it probably looks like I'm dead, but I have more than ten finished or unfinished stories there, and I've enjoyed every one of them.
You can write for others, and you can write for yourself, but most people do both. I couldn't imagine writing something just for others
>>
>>25933359
Man, what?

My first green was written entirely on my own interest in seeing if I COULD write a story. The fact that some people liked it was just a bonus. And it's the same way now, but the difference is that the goal has switched from "do I have what it takes to write a story" to "what can I do with this prompt?" It's self-challenging. Sure, you keep the audience in mind as you write it out for them to read, but if you're not in it for yourself then you'll eventually stop enjoying it or stagnate.

I should probably finish my Femanon X Vampire Shota Cutie Mark Crusaders green, but I'm a lazy shit. I'll probably just finish it and post the completed product in Fingerbang next October.
>>
>>25932837
It'll definitely be finished. Once I get done with this epic of autism I've been writing for /nst/, the Mrs. Cake story and Trixie one will be top priority.

this tbqh family

i used to write green every single day for about three months. it got a decent amount of readers and comments/posts even had a few people joining in on the story with their own spins and side stroies (which i greatly enjoyed)

but writing everyday really wears you down. it was nice to get a break when someone else provided content, i love writing. but when it starts to become demanded/expected that you do it constantly it becomes more of a job than a pass time

Man that's good to hear. I don't read greentext very often but Drowning Lessons was the fucking shit. I kinda got busy with life though, and didn't fully keep up, and when you disappeared I kinda stopped reading most pone greentexts all together. I remember I liked your shit so much I made a little archive of the first few threads. You brought the character of Eri to life, changing her from a no name generic edgy pone to something we all dearly cared about. I would love if you finished the story, but if you didn't, I suppose that's alright too. Do it because you want to, not because a bunch of anonymous faggots nagged you on to finish your story. Besides, your only gonna do your best work if you still enjoy it anyway. Even if you somehow fuck up, it will be okay because you have already created something great. Whatever you do, thank you.

Yeah, it flared up and burned out within a year. A lot of the stories ended on such a sweet note; something about two best friends falling in love always really gave me warm, cozy feels.

I'm sorry, I missed it; should have dug back through the thread. I appreciate hunting it down for me.

You don't happen to know the sequence of any his stories do you? Suicide seems to have been his theme and it's hard to tell which stories are tied together and if any where finished.
