But the problem with that point is valuing an opinion and valuing what leads to success is two different topics. You can't compare them.

It's fine if you like heavy metal, but you aren't going to have a large normie audience. It's going to be smaller, you're going to be less successful, but that's the nature of being in a smaller genre.

The problem I have with the retard here and a lot of other "artists" is that they feel entitled to think that their form of whatever should be as successful as a tried and true method big corporations use. That's retarded, and not at all how you should try promoting yourself. In fact that's a good way to drive supporters away (and they'll always wonder why).

If I wanted to be a freelance director and my passion was nature, I could either make a movie with guns and big explosions and be a blockbuster hit, or make a nature documentary and be overlooked by 95% of the world, but have a small following because of my niche.

Pop music is a genre with specific conventions. For instance, verse-chorus-verse-chorus-middle-eight-verse-chorus is a common structure.
