Twilight goes through time, Starlight instantly wins because somehow she’s more competent and Twilight, Twilight gets booted to the changed future just to go back and try again, rinse and repeat until barren wasteland for no reason. At this point it FINALLY stops with the tedium and Starlight actually learns what her petty revenge has actually wrought...yeah right.

I was kind of hoping the episode would just have the past changed ONCE and as she thinks she’s won she and Twilight now have to endure an apocalypse together, where she learns in full painful detail just how important Twilight and her friends are to Equestria as it is the very pony she hates that saves her stupid ass from one near death encounter after another. And then everything gets put back together.

There's very little hate. Plenty of criticism, but most people have been talking about the finale's good parts and bad parts in equal measure. It's as if this finale reminded /mlp/ how to genuinely like something while still pointing out its flaws. Honestly, it's some of the best show discussion I've seen on this board in a while.

Although the alternate timelines were creative, yes, I think this would've worked better than just starlight changing her mind for no real reason (think discord ep) and made the plot seem rushed, I think the writers could've done a great job of they're was a part 3. Starlights reason for hating cutie marks is autistic af also.

thought it was shit ending to a good start like honestly i like starlight as a villain willing to follow her own rules, toying with twilight ACTUALLY THINKING OF THE FLAWS IN HER PLAN and can actually as far as im do better magic then twilight!.

I'd say most people that don't visit this place aren't nearly as critical with MLP, and since /mlp/, for the most part, at least liked it, that means the rest of the fandom loved it, right? It's actually how I really feel about it too, except I thought they would actually made her the new Discord but look like that makes, unfortunately, more sense that they make her the new Sunset Shimmer and it makes me worry about what is next after that...

Again, if we put out the shitty ending, I didn't hate the finale even if there are some flaws but nothing to be angry.
