I think Starlight will be recurring like Discord but not have main character status. I would like to see an episode where she and Discord interact as the two would have a lot in common being former antagonists learning the ways of friendship.

So many shows die from becoming too stale and having nothing change. I fear MLP is undergoing the opposite problem, so many new things are introduced every season that the show feels disjointed and spasmodic rather than telling a concrete narrative.

Every season introduces new characters, but world-building has to be balanced with development. When a character has no screen time, it is hard to feel an attachment.

I want writers to focus on the characters we have, rather than pulling new ones out of the blue. I want more about Celestia and Luna and Celestia's relationship with Twilight. I want the bit characters from earlier make more appearances (granted, we did get an episode with Gilda) and have more development instead of just being plot points. We still know nothing really about Cadence and Shining. I know they aren't the most popular, but they are here and I wish the writers would use them. I want Rainbow to hang with Spitfire and Rarity to see Fancy Pants on occasion.

I want to see old villains come back without being reformed. This finale was a cruel tease in that regard.

I want to finally meet Starswirl, and stop invoking him so much for plot convenience.

I know there are ponies who just don't talk to each other. Does Pinky talk to say, Rarity at all in an episode (with them both in it.) I wonder if there are M6 ponies who ignore each other. I know there's a matter of voice actors sometimes not talking to other characters also voiced by themselves, but how often do characters ignore each other?
I don't know if there's some mad savant out there who's catalouged the M6 interactions, but it'd help make my point. Anyway I'd like to see someone call the main 6 on it.

I want the show to go back to what it was. Fun little adventures where the group learn lessons without the need of insane levels of scifi, crazy high powerlevels, and super high fantasy elements. The last 2 seasons episodes have been for the most part, brony bate with ridiculous plots that overstretch what made the show good in the first place. This show needs a restart or a cleanup, but a cleanup would kill even more people off the show and not gain many back because of their assumptions the show has changed for the worse.
