When I watched that 3D Powerpuff Girls special, I saw a new Steven Universe that aired right after.

It gave me feels, and I actually thought it was better than the ppg special. I watched a couple more eps and enjoyed it.

It' a cute, and colorful show.
Tho, I havent really watched it in a while, or much at all, but thats just because I can't be bothered to watch a lot of tv shows that arent story and character strong.

I mainly watch dramas, and some anime, honestly.
I really only keep up with MLP because of you fuckers.

It's alright. Sugar's artstyle doesn't work with cleaned up animation to me. It looks better in sketches. Has some interesting concepts, like the gems as a race, but sadly they're more of a backdrop than the focus.

Probably one of the worst shows to talk about outside of this one because you will either pull the entire conversation down as someone gets unironically triggered at the mention of a cartoon, or you get some tumblrinas as your only companions and they'll just talk about whatever uninteresting mental illness is popular this week instead.

I tried watching the first episode and it did not appeal to me in the least. I'm okay with Adventure Time (at least the older episodes), I like Bravest Warriors, Gravity Falls is mostly okay, The amazing world of Gumball can be funny as well. But SU did nothing for me.

Has some redeeming qualities like the lore the continuity some of the lyric-less/ambient songs the opening sequence and the freedom in things to show or discuss.
However it just tries to pander to Tumblrfags and it tries to shove it's libtarded agenda down your throat.
Other than that I don't like most of it's characters , I only like Garnet.
On the other hand MLP has fuck loads of admirable and adorable characters , that's one of Faust's uncanny skills : Being able to create characters that you love from the bottom of your soul.

I hesitated to watch it for a while because of the character designs and because what I'd heard about it seemed too similar to Adventure Time, which I'd lost interest in. A friend finally convinced me to give it a look recently, though, and I found myself enjoying it much more than expected. I guess I'm a fan of the show now. A lot of decent people are, it's just that the terrible ones seem more talkative.

I watched the first episode and I didn't like it. Steven was super annoying and everything felt like it was trying really hard to be mysterious. They also went straight to shipping/waifu pandering right off the bat.

And ultimately, they seemed to imply there's a big mysterious world that the show takes place in. One I don't have time to invest into. The show didn't grab me so I have no interest in learning about it. I'd rather watch AT since I'm already invested in it, but I barely have time to watch that anymore either

To put it in mlp terms, Steven in this show is like a permanent Spike who's the main character. He constantly has crappy jokes and is shit on, but occasionally gets to shine through plot armor. His entire purpose is to be a companion and guardian of a group of ancient space aliens that need to learn what love is.

It's ok. The fandom is something I will never touch, but the show is ok. Too many Spike episodes though. When they focus on the gems, it's good, but the dumpy fat kid who makes bad jokes and saves the day with his stubbornness and then finds out everyone around him is emotionally crippled just isn't always my cuppa tea. Plus, the world is hard to get into.

Equestria is fairly self-explanatory, but Steven Universe is still confusing after fifty episodes.
