Are you really trying to tell me that it isn't when the first movie is about becoming queen of a dance, the second is about a battle of the bands, and the third is about companions between schools? If that isn't highschool, I don't know what is. Sure you have some magic running about but it is technically foreign to that world and would otherwise be a regular highschool. The plots follow all the typical highschool plots man.
