It's because they have to come up with a new pattern and iron out the kinks to make it look decent enough to sell. This means they have to spend time and money on something that is niche as fuck which likely means many won't requests for so their time and money are most likely tossed into the garbage because people will keep requesting pones.

ohhhh, we're talking smells? I actually found a 2:1 concoction of lavender and hay essential oils makes for a good smell. I mix it in some water (haven't measured yet) and dampen a cloth in the mixture. I then squeeze out almost all the water from the cloth and wipe the plush down. The point is not to get the plush wet.

The smell's very faint and pretty awesome, and lavender essential oil contains a natural antibacterial agent, so it helps kill germs. Afterwards, a good brushing with something like the Lily Brush helps remove any hair/pet fur/other particulate junk.

Keep in mind there is a big difference between essential oils and fragrance oils if you want to try this yourself. Fragrance oils are made with chemicals, essential oils are made by distilling directly from the actual plants. Also, I tested each essential oil I used raw (undiluted) on a piece of minky before using on the actual plush, to make sure no discoloration would occur. If you do this, I'd suggest the same.

i might make a more formal guide on this type of thing eventually, i'm still testing different things out.

also, I should've noted, when using water on a plush, even if you aren't trying to get it wet, I'd recommend you use *distilled* water, not tap water, not mineral water, not bottled water (which is tap water), but *distilled*. If you don't know, distilled water is pretty close to pure H2O and lacks most of the minerals and chemicals that are commonly added to water that we consume.

I've been thinking about this applique job I think I realized something about the layers. It should have been white then blue then black then white. The blue should have been a solid circle when applied so it could keep it's shape better, than as a cut out eclipse as it can move around more when applied. And I think the top white reflection dots may be too big and since the dots don't fit shapely when stuffed in 3d, the eyes look distorted where they look and how the bend.

I still like the eyes and I am still excited af for her to be finished, but these are just minor critiques so you can improve your plushes in the future.
