The episode wasn't THAT bad though. The ending was a bit meh, but for the most part it was okay.

But basically women get 33% more college degrees than men, but a shitload of those degrees are totally worthless. Whereas degrees that have a high probability of getting you a good job, Engineering, Physics, Geochemistry - whatever - have like a 90%-10% Male-Female ratio, so its not that women take lower paying jobs but just that the highest paying jobs are mostly occupied by men

Any discrepancy can usually be explained by other factors. Companies tend to not like un-winable lawsuits, so very few say "You're a man, you get $10 an hour, you're a woman you get $7 an hour" - because thats illegal. Thats akin to saying you're black, I'll pay you less.
