11-54 is the story of a filly exploring a strange facility filled with hostile creatures and unstable architecture.
You've gone quite a ways in the last few days but as it stands, your journey is not over.
So far you were birthed into the facility, full of life, met your end only to be spit out again. Found some supplies and met a friend, died and was reborn once again. You found some guns and reunited yourself with your clone and wandered into a bio-lab and out-ran a pack of feral creatures.
You met a pony who couldn't move and left him to die as he asked. You took a small tour that explained some things about The Patwrite facility and you wandered into Bio-testing Theta where you learned about some of the other Bio-forms that were a part of Project Perfection. After this Bio-form 8-22 has introduced himself and tried to kill you. You managed to capture and beat him before leaving him for dead. You climbed up through a hole and ran away from some robots, commandeered a mech and found a reporter near a crashed helicopter. You then proceeded to piss off a very large arthropod, which you are currently fending off with your mech.
What will you do now?

Come on in to the 11-54 CYOA and help this filly avoid death.

>A chill runs down your spine as you imagine the mech stepping off of the side of the platform you are on. You look out the side window and make absolutely sure that the mech will not tumble off as Spearmint continues to pepper the creature with bullets.
>You notice that most of the smaller creatures seem to have scattered, The large creature has escaped the production room and it now turning to continue it's charge toward you. The large creature seems to be currently close to the edge of the platform you are both on.

What do you do?
>>
>>25347930
Ram him with the mech and throw him off the ledge then. Full speed ahead I say.
>>
>>25347930
How close are we? If we can detonate our missile near it without putting ourselves at risk then I'd say go for it, because this thing is damn near bulletproof.
>>
>>25348020
this. We're not manoeuvrable and presumably this things is armoured and shit despite looking like a car.
>>
>>25348020
Also, tell Spear to concentrate her fire on the eggs on it's belly or it's legs.
>>
>>25347930
I would ram it with the mech, but I'm afraid it'll use it's pincer to grab us and take us with it. Therefore I vote to get the mech as far onto good "ground" as possible so it can withstand a moderate backward shove, and grab on if it's got anything like an anchor or grappling hooks, then fire the missile at the bug's belly hoping to blow it apart, or at least, off the platform. With it's mass, falling any distance should finish it off.

"This think isn't going easy. Spearmint, fire the missile!"
>"Are you sure!? We've only got one."
"Right now I'm not sure that we're not going to tumble to our deaths but I'm sure about this missile!"
>"Alright."
>Spearmint focuses on her controls for a moment and a torrent of noise blasts your ears as a cloud of smoke envelopes the windshield.
>The missile hits in the center of the creature near it's belly. The explosion blinds you for a brief moment, letting your vision come back just in time to watch the last bits of the creature fall past the side of the platform.
>The path that went foreword is now destroyed and the opposite side of your platform is beginning to crumble.
>Photobomb yells, "Holy shit! I want to know what the fuck is going on here right the fuck now! And why did you two bring these disgusting things in here! And still, What the fuck was that thing!?"
"Shut up for just a moment, I need to concentrate."
>You turn the mech around and start heading back towards the helicopter. You know full well that it isn't safe on that platform you just compromised.
>You remember that ahead of you was the room marked storage, the freight elevator and the room that you found Photo Bomb in. Past that there is the rest of the floor of this room that you haven't explored the interior of.

What do you do?
>>
>>25348375
Does the elevator go up?
>>
>>25348405
The characters don't know this but for the sake of time. The elevator only goes down from the floor it was found on.
>>
>>25348375
Honestly we need somewhere to square away and give the pegasus the business. then we need to decide what our game plan is.

I don't want to hang around those robots though, so i say take the elevator.
>>
>>25348375
Ask Spear what the ammo count is and head for the elevator. We might as well see what's at the bottom.
>>
>>25348479
This is true.

But I'd really rather not go down at all.
>>
>>25348496
I think the general goal is to head up at the moment, but we can check it out at least. We should also probably get those spider things off our mech.
>>
>>25348496
You're going to call me crazy in a moment, but please bare with me.

I think we should head down because I think we should offer to help the robots.

I don't believe that the robots are 'insane' but rather that they are following the directives of whoever owns this place. Thats why employee safety standards still existed, that's why our attempt to pretend to be staff worked temporarily.

I think the robots would be willing to trade our release for anything that helps contain the monsters and alicorn, i base this on the fact that we know that pony test subjects were sometimes released into orphanges after they were no longer needed. We can barter for the same deal in exchange for helping them contain the facility.

I think we should do this because the entire point of going up was to avoid deadly robots, but despite going up this whole time, here are deadly flying robots guarding a hole to the outside world. What would be the point of escaping through the roof if they have a perimeter of death bot flying drones?
>>
>>25348528
There's really nothing to hold them to that deal.
Children may have been released to orphanages, but that will have been a pony decision, not the A.I.s.
We have no privileges whatsoever from the robots. They have protocols that protect employees, not us.
We certainly don't need to go to them to talk either. We have a radio.
>>
>>25348637
If the AI is enacting the orders of the company than the company can okay the deal using the AI as the go between.
And of course we use the radio. Going down the elevator won't drop us in robot central and we should move away from the flying robots just in case they try to grab us while we talk to spear and the pegasus about what to do.
>>
>>25348649
Your post made it sound like you were suggesting heading down because that's where the robots are.
Also, why would the company be in contact with a place they've left abandoned for a decade?
>>
>>25348743
Heading down is a long term plan, the elevator isn't going to do much on that front.

Why wouldn't they? It's their property and they have a vested interest in containment which is what we can help with. Also the reporters are very good reasons for them to be in continued contact.
>>
>>25348762
You mean the reporters they apparently brought down? If their in contact with the company and they okay'd that then we have no chance of talking our way out of here.
>>
>>25348775
>You mean the reporters they apparently brought down?
What? Where did you get that idea. The pilot said 'she killed us'.
>>
>>25348781
The pilot was bleeding out. Either the robots outside shoot shit down or they don't and we therefor have no new reasons to stop our current plan.
>>
>>25348375
"Photobomb, the disgusting things we brought in are, unfortuntely, dinner. Unless you're into starving. I'm trying to get our asses to stable ground so we don't plummet to our collective doom when this platform crumbles. From there, well, let's play it by ear, OK?"

I say head past helicopter and explore the remaining area of the room that we so far haven't, there's been cool stuff in here so far.
>>
>>25348806
What current plan?

Your plan is to keep going up, we're already above ground. Are we going to grow wings once we get to the roof?

Also you're equating killing normal ponies with containment, just because they didn't shoot down the helicopter does not mean they would not attempt to stop us.

>You head to the elevator Thinking that it's probably the safest route so far.
>Spearmint breaks the silence on the way there, "I really hate those things. They always manage to sneak up on me... I've never seen a big one though... That was new."
"Spearmint?"
>"Y-yeah"
"How many bullets are left?"
>Spearmint bites her lip a bit, "The counter says we have 287 left."
>When you get down to the elevator you see that the mech should be able to fit on it. There is a control panel on the elevator that looks like the controls.
>Spearmint settles uncomfortably and starts using some of the first aid kit to treat the cuts from the creature that attacked her.

>You consider things for a moment, the A.I.s in the building don't seem to be out of control now that you've spoken to them a couple of times. You start thinking about striking a deal with them.
"Spearmint?"
>"Yes"
"Do you think that maybe we could make some deal with the building's A.I.s to help them with something and maybe have them let us go?"
>"I wouldn't trust them"
"I know that you have some good reasons not to trust them but, why shouldn't we try?"
>Spearmint flashes a look of pain across her face, "They lie, They always lie. They, They're really good at getting into your head. You probably didn't pick up on this but they kept saying things over the CB and that phone you answered, things that made me remember how vulnerable I was to them. They know exactly what they're doing."
>Photo Bomb cuts in, "Look, I'm tired of being in the dark about this place. Can somepony tell me something? Like what's the deal with you two? Are you like sisters? Or is this one of those fucked up situations where Spearmint is like your mother and your sister? Are you two some kinda inbred sand-hicks? Cause I don't know why you're giving the orders here kid and it's bothering me among other thing in this weird ass place."
>What do you do?
>>
>>25348830
we are twins when you think about it but we don't have a mother and spearmint was just "born" 15 years ahead of us.

We give the orders because spearmint listens to us. We listen and let spearmint weigh in on decisions we make though.
>>
>>25348830
We're clones. I give the orders because I don't have years of abuse here messing with my ability to make decisions. No offense Spearmint.
>>
>>25348830
Do you really not get it yet? We already told you some of this but here goes again, this place experimented with all kinds of robotics and biologicals. Those monsters we just fought were cloned bioweapons, spear and I are also clones. We're here because this place makes copies of us every time we die, there's two of us because something glitched up. This whole place is an insane crumbling deathtrap full of monsters manipulative AIs and rouge experiments.
All we want to do is leave this hell.
>>
>>25348908
Basically this.
>>
>>25348830
First thing we do when we can is notice then shoot those bug-monsters stuck on the mech before they get one of us.

"OK Photo, here's what's going on. This place is a weapons research lab using both animal and technology solutions to make the deadliest possible things. Me and my sister-clone here are one of their projects. I lead because they haven't screwed with my mind as much as they have my sister's. We're trying to get the hell out of here, because while we're the result of research, we're still just ordinary ponies and we don't deserve the kind of hell that's going on in here. You need to get with the program and realize that being a reporter is now Job 2 for you, because in this place, just staying alive another minute is Job 1. So keep your head straight and help us tackle whatever we run into instead of grilling us for background info. Save that stuff for the rare, slow moments."

>You hear something crawling around on the cabin of the mech.
"Are those bug spider things on the mech?"
>Spearmint sighs, "I think so. I hate those things, so much."
"Anyway, Photo Bomb. Spearmint and I are kind of like sisters I guess. We're actually clones, and even though Spearmint is older She has had some things happen to her that messed up her ability to make her own decisions, no offense Spearmint."
>Spearmint stares out the window, "It's not like your lying."
"Anyway we where created as part of some experiment. This place is a weapons research lab that makes biological and robotic weapons, and for some reason when the biological experiments die in this place the building spits out another one."
>Photobomb cuts in, "So, there's going to be another one of those big bugs?"
"As far as I know, yes. Anyway The only reason there are two of us Spearmint and I, I mean, Is because of a glitch in the system. Right now we're just trying to get out of here. We were going up to get away from the robots but, I'm starting to second guess that decision.
>Photo Bomb talks out of the side of her mouth as she busily jots down notes with a pen and pad that she seems to have, "Well, I do remember seeing some things that looked like hangers on top of the building when we flew over, before the sandstorm rolled in that is. So, you know just how many of those things you told me about this place are illegal? Like on an international level? When I get out of here, I'm gonna be fucking famous kid! Or should I call you Spearmint? Or does it matter since you're a clone. You know, I don't care kid."

That's it for tonight I'll pick this up tomorrow.
>>
>>25349184
I don't care either, but please focus on staying alive.
You won't be able to report on anything dead, ok.
One lapse in judgement can get all three of us killed. I'd like to point out that that's a bigger deal for you, since you can't be revived.

How rude. We should also consider thinking of a name since there is a third pony here.

Hangers on the roof imply flying machines and escape more sure than negotiating with evil business AIs. I vote we continue up, with an emphasis on finding weapons capable of knocking down flying drones.

Considering the military nature of the machines here I'd be willing to bet there's something up there that has some bite.

And I thought that that was the only researcher she liked.

>You take a deep breath, feeling a bit nervous. You know that it's probably time that you had a name. Especially when there are two other ponies around you.

Popping the door open slightly, you levitate your crowbar outside and use it to beat the creatures off of your mech. after you're sure that you got them all you slip the crowbar back inside.
"Hey Spearmint, do you know anything about these vehicles?"
>"Not really, that big yellow one looks like it flies though."
>You make a quick sweep of the area. everything seems to be clear.
>The path ahead gets a little cramped in between the vehicles. it looks like there are other mechs like yours parked inside, although non of them appear to have any missiles loaded in.

If you get out of the mech you may want to consider what and who you want to bring with you.

What do you do?

I think we should bring photo bomb with us so that she can see can reach high places with her wings because we will get tired if we do everything or there is something we can't reach with our magic.

Welcome to the team photo bomb!

"Spearmint, I want you to watch the mech, Photo Bomb, You come with me to check out this big yellow machine."

"Well, since Spear doesn't know anything about this vehicle and because she knows more about this mech than you do, and because you probably know more about these flying machines than both of us, and because You are the only one who can fly which makes you able to get places I can't, I think you helping me with this is a good Idea."
>"B-but what if there's more of those things out there?"
"Then I'll kill them, that's what I'm going with you for."
>Knowing that she is outnumbered, the pegasus follows you out of the mech.
>You circle the front of the yellow machine and see a large blast-door at the end of this vehicle bay. There are also two hallways on opposite sides of the corridor.
>You continue around the machine and find a large door in the back. This craft seems to be for cargo, a few large boxes litter the inside. at the front of the cargo bay, you find the door to the cockpit.
>Photo Bomb trails behind you, she seems to be shivering a bit.
"Are you okay, back there?"
>"Yeah, just fucking dandy," She mumbles something under her breath.
"So, You wouldn't happen to know how to fly one of these things, Would you?"

>Maybe Photo Bomb just needs a friend. You decide to reach out to her because you know what it's like to feel alone and you've seen what that can do to a pony.
"Hey, if you want to talk, just about anything, you know that Spearmint and I can be there for you. And right now we could use another pony with a fresh perspective to help us get out of here. right now we don't really have a plan but maybe, between the three of us, we can come up with something that will work."
>"So back to the robot?"
"For now, yeah. Back to the mech."
>You both head back to the mech, Spearmint seems happy to see you both safe.
Photo Bomb digs the manual out for you and you quickly flip through it.
>Among other things, you learn that the mech uses 20W-50 motor oil, the hydraulic system can "operate" at a minimum of 40% recommended pressure although the manual also tells you to seek repairs immeadiately if the pressure drops below 70% recommended and that the ammunition for the main gun is loaded in from the bottom via a cartridge system that is shown being exchanged with a jack of some sort in a diagram.
"Alright we need to figure out what we're going to do. I'm not sure where to go."
>Spearmint says, "Well, The mech fits in the cargo elevator and it can probably get in that hole we found next to that crashed yellow thing."
>Photobomb looks up at you, "These vehicle have to be here for some reason, you guys might figure it out if you look in those two hallways next to where they are parked."
>You remember that there was that door marked storage and there was the area in the center of the room as well as some platforms you haven't checked yet.

>Spearmint perks up a bit, "that sounds great."
>Spearmint barrows your crowbar and gathers some wood from a crate. She ten tells you and Poto Bomb to stand back while she tries to start the fire.It takes her four tries to hit the wood, each combustion seeming to be much larger than you would think is necessary.
>Spearmint places a few eggs next to the fire and lets them warm up. Eventually it is your turn to try one with Photo Bomb, who asks why your hesitating to eat your egg.
"I've never had one before."
>"I though you said that?.. Never mind"
>You both try an egg. They aren't good, just very very bland. Photo Bomb doesn't seem to enjoy hers either but she manages to muscle through it.

>>

Let's take the brown plastic bags. Then we can also take a flashlight for Photo bomb. Let's go up the stairs and then see through the window upstairs so we can get an idea of what it's like in there.
>>
>>25442736
Take the brown bags! Then since we have a stairwell going up, let's gather the whole crew and head up! Provided, that is, that any of us feel comfortable attempting to fly a machine out of here.

Well that's creepy.

Goodnight, BWH.

Hm. This is a very good time to ask ourselves, "Has anyone fed the giant brain lately, and is it hungry?"
>>
>>25463528
Night.
We ain't taking no shit from talking brains. We'll shout from the doorway if we have to talk.
>>
>>25463528
Let's be polite to the brainjar, shall we?
>>
>>25463528
Gesture for Spearmint and Photo Bomb to yield, so you can enter the room alone. Tell them to get back to the mech the moment something seems to be going wrong.

I feel we should play it cool and let him show his hand. Save for turning off the lights he has been tame with us so far. And fear doesn't look so good on an apparent leader.

>>25463609
>We'll shout from the doorway if we have to talk.
He's playing dumb. I doubt that's going to get us anything besides more beating around the bush. I think we should either go in or go away. We've shown some due caution.

If we go in, first thing's first. Ask him to identify.
>>
>>25464782
>>
>>25463528
Best case scenario the brain in a jar is just a bit bored and lonely and will be content with a little social interaction and may even be helpful.

Worst case scenarios: It's REALLY bored and lonely and won't want us to ever leave, or it's gone insane and just want's to toy with us in some sadistic way or another.
>>
>>25463528
Ask him where his microphone is. Yell and say "can you hear me now?"

It's a good thing photo bomb is here to tell us about the outside world and what's going on in it.
>>

I suppose I have a few, nothing that would really be helpful to our situation though.
We could ask where she's from.
what's it like outside this building.
What's happening/interesting out there?
does she have anyone she cares about?

just questions one would ask when they have no contact with the outside world. I thought we could tell it to the brain in case it wanted to know that stuff since it's in a jar. Maybe he has a connection to outside though?
>>
>>25468622
I've been thinking, maybe this mega-brain is one of the major ruling parties that seem to be at war with one another in this facility. We may be in the presence of local royalty!

"By the way, I'm sorry Mr. Apollo, I didn't want to just assume that was your name. I mean when I was... born, from a tube in a hallway it said 11-5, but that's not really much of a name is it?"
>"I see, so you are in fact, one of the Patwrite creatures. As you see I did not want to assume as much myself."
"Hey I actually have some questions myself."

I'm sure if you where here with money years ago they would have boasted their bio-mechanical integration project, which I am nearly the entirety of."
"Oh, so... You don't have to answer but, did the staff here torture you like they did the pony test subjects?"
>"Well, I don't believe they ever tried to torture me. You see, Your mental conditioning program was dreamt up well after my creation. I have existed since before Patwrite purchased Cytogen who begat me, so their experiments with control were never tested on me."
"Cytogen? Sorry, are you the reason this floor is different?"
>"Yes I am, and happy for it. Fortunately for me, both sides of this petty conflict seem to have an interest in my well being, and my control over certain systems helps me maintain this floor further."

I may just be painfully optimistic. Regardless, I think the floor is overdue for exploration. Let's check out some rooms.

I really like these cordial AI's, even if this one isn't entirely mechanical or biological. A lot of them aren't exactly trustworthy at this point because who knows which ones are linked with the malevolent side of it, but at least a few are nice to be around.

Also....

Apollo mentioned all the care they put into making this facility. If the war's been going on for this long, and the place was really well build, supposedly, does anyone else think it might be possible that this was the intent of the designers from the first place? A grand, massive, survival of the fittest, type experiment?

Do we trust him enough to even stay on this floor? If we're taking a bad risk, then we'll likely be separated from them anyway even if we refuse to bring them with us now.

If we trust him, we risk our position/separation from Spear. If we don't trust him, we risk information that could be vital to escaping. Like what's waiting for us on the next floor. Or a clue to 21-12's whereabouts. Or even her basis for visiting Apollo, if he doesn't fill us in on that.

"Thank you Apollo. Hey guys! we're going to check the labs!"
>Photo Bomb calls back, "Yeah, we heard you."
>All of you enter the first room of the labs Inside is a sink, gas nozzles, a computer, lab-coats hung on the wall, some filing cabinets and various other lab equipment.

>There are a lot of things that you want to check in this lab but it's a little too much work for just one filly, fortunately your companions seem to know what they're doing so you let them be and check some of the equipment. There is a microscope that has no slide in it currently. In the cabinets above the microscope you find some clean slides, as well as various chemicals that you don't know the function of, some test-tubes and beakers. you also find a strange machine that looks like a microwave with various settings for temperature and humidity. You also test the sink, at first is gurgles a bit until finally it begins sputtering aerated water.
>At the same time Spearmint tries on one of the lab-coats, which catches Photo Bomb's eye as she walks over to the filing cabinets.
>Photo Bomb puts her flashlight on the ground and says, "Are you seriously playing fucking dress-up after telling this whole time that everything is death around here and that danger is around every corner. What are you, some kind of foal?"
>Spearmint doesn't answer her, she just kind of stops and looks at the ground.
>Photo Bomb turns back to the filing cabinets, muttering, "Fucking idiots."
As Photobomb opens one of the filing cabinets Apollo's voice comes in over the wall mounted speaker, "There's no reason to look through those. In fact the information in them probably wouldn't even make that much sense to someone ignorant of their context. Trying to read through them would be a waste of your time."

What do you do?

Aw, Spearmint is so cute.

"This is like only the second semi-safe room we've been in so far. The harrowing fight for survival needs some down time too, you know."

>"It's fine Pepper. No harm was done, but please do be careful... All of you."
>You turn your attention back to Photo Bomb.
"This on one of the few times Spearmint has had time feel feel safe, in her life. If she wants to try on the clothing she finds then she can. lighten up."
>Photo Bomb still looks a bit disturbed. You look over at Spearmint and give her a little smile. She peers up and smiles back before putting the lab-coat the rest of the way on.

What do you do?
>>
>>25512288
Photo, we walk a fine line here everyday. Right now we can relax, a bit.
Also that room requires clean suits. Which means only Spear can get in, right? We should look for more so she doesn't need to go in alone.

Pepper's faces are slaying me.

Apollo's scaring the shit out of me. There's a reason this place is so oddly pristine, and he said it was a contested place by both factions. There's a secret here. Gotta think about some way to explore without setting off whatever it is that's keeping this place relatively safe.
>>
So, I've been waiting for a some more posts with actions to preform.
I guess I may need to re explain some things. This room has three doors. one leading to the Apollo investor display room, An unmarked door leading to an unexplored room and the door marked with a Clean-Suit Required warning.
There are also some unchecked cabinets under the center table. Ruining the surprise (The cabinets are full of PPE and access to the gas and water lines.
There are unread files and an unchecked computer.
I hope this helps.
>>
>>25512709
Lets try to computer. I assume that means there are no clean suits we see?
>>
>>25512709
Ask Apollo what's through the clean suit door.
>>
>>25512288
Can't think of anything else to do besides sit tight and unwind, before inquiring about the marked and unmarked doors.

I honestly wouldn't mind paling around for a bit. Might get some of that sand out of PB's cooch if we can make her laugh.
>>
>>25512746
Thats what PPE is.

I don't see a point in going in the clean room, this is likely all part of the apollo program and I can only forsee us damaging something and it going on.

Maybe we'd see something that reveals him as evil or dangerous, but really, walking in to find he's fuelled by burning foals would be par for the course at this point.

check the computer, if only to fish for information that could fuel headcanons.
>>
>>25512709
I think we have some different players this time. Not as decisive.

Continue searching through things. If questioned: "We've managed to survive so far by trying to look for helpful items when we can. It's kind of a habit."

"Oh, Um, I'm sorry. I'm just that, so far I've managed to survive by looking through things like this. It's sort of a habit by now. Sorry."
>"It's fine, Just be sure to wait until the computer boots all the way up before shutting it down. We wouldn't want to break anything would we?"
"No, We wouldn't."
>While waiting for the computer to boot up you search under the sink and find some water and gas lines, as well as a few pairs of goggles, dust-masks and latex gloves for various different species.
>As you get out from under the sink you realize that you could ask Apollo about the adjacent rooms.
"Hey Apollo, What's in that room that says it requires a clean-suit?"
>"Oh that. It just has some old genetic research equipment. DNA sequences various stored biological catalysts, frozen biological samples and other things of that lot. Nothing that I think would benefit you too greatly if at all."
"Alright, What about that other door?"
"Oh that? It's just a storage room that also acts as an access to some of the other labs under my control. Although I must warn you that the creature I've managed to trap is in the room past that storage room."

It's obviously got it's secrets, but if we're going to be it's friend (and vice versa) we'll need to respect it's privacy. Hence, I vote we shut down that PC, and go find 21-12. We can ask that one all about Apollo and maybe find out what we seek anyhow.

What if this Apollo entity's inner workings diagrams are on the stick-drive? And we take it, and find some other terminal and plug it in... And it turns out that Apollo is one of the major players in the building, and we plug it into the competition's terminal?

We could shift the balance of power in the facility and take out the one entity in power that likes us! If we take it, let's NOT use it unless Apollo turns bad on us somehow. Not just that, we must be prepared to destroy it if captured by another faction within the facility.
>>
>>25515162
That would be interesting.

7341-Apollo has locked another employee in the labs today. After this incident Doctor Fig was given a few days paid vacation. Apollo locked him in one of the rooms that did not have any way for us to break in. It seems like our Apollo is starting to figure out the countermeasures we put in place. Doctor Fig told us that Apollo was asking him about what he knows about the current Patwrite plans for his further integration.
7340-Another day of Apollo really trying to sell himself to the investors. I realize that Apollo fully understands the need for funding but it still unnerves me just how much he seems to put on a good show for the investors.
7339-Apollo trapped doctor Bouquet in between a couple of doors today. When asked about this "prank" Apollo denied any recollection of the event. Doctor Bouquet was given aid by some of the staff who are certified but although her physical injuries where tread quite well I'm afraid that this is the third teammate in the last two months that Apollo has accidentally harmed. We are still waiting for the meeting with doctor Green for advice on possible behavior modifications but with the current state of things I think we may need to Remove Apollo's control over some of the systems. I worry that taking any bit of control away from Apollo may also make things harder for us to maintain a working relationship though.

7338-During our education session today Apollo began to ask about the nature of sexuality. After a robust discussion Apollo still does not understand the basics of the concept of physical pleasure.
7337-We tested a new lot on Apollo today, hoping that we could achieve transfer of digital information. It was a failure Analog method of education and experience training for electrical systems manipulation are still required.
7336-Apollo locked Doctor Fig in another lab today. fortunately doctor fig managed to escape through the hatch we installed beneath the desk. I've put in another request to meet with doctor Green.
7335-Apollo has gone back to asking newer staff if they could show him what is being typed into the terminals. Unfortunately today it worked as one of the science team began to show him some of the information. We must remind the entire staff that we have turned ALL terminal screens away from Apollo's camera's for a reason.

Alright let's not agitate the artificial intelligence too much. It was being cordial so we at least owe it being polite. Right?

Even if I personally kind of doubt he can do a whole lot if the records are to be believed. I imagine other things might have killed the science team and Apollo let these things in to get rid of the team.

Let's have some discussion before the next turn tonight.

So it says he likes putting on a show. I'd like to ask for him to do what he did for the investors at some point. It would be one of the few sources of entertainment. The immediate issue is what are we going to do or say?

I suspect he can't kill anyone unless we let the doors get us and if he could kill, escape hatches would logically not be under his control.
>>
bop
>>
>>25534061
If we're calling his bluff, while feigning some amount of courtesy, we have time to skim over one more part. My vote goes to either Current Objectives or Additional Notes, leaning towards the latter.

Fuss back at him to buy some time. Say you'll do nothing of the sort (responding to his demand) until he turns back on the lights and opens the doors. If he complies, say you were looking for some way to shut down the terminal "properly," as you were under the assumption that hitting the power button would just kill the power.

Finally, tell him he needs to trust us. We are not here to hurt him. Curiosity can be contained, and we'd rather not lose his company. Aside from that, we have a better clue of what we're dealing with, at least.
>>
>>25536312
We could snark playfully and snicker something about how the files must have embarrassing baby pictures hidden somewhere and he's worried that it would hurt his reputation as a spooky artificial intelligence.

Also, mention that this place is well preserved for some reason. Surely it's not just to let it sit in the dust for eternity.

I suspect that it could be that neither side of the conflict has gotten in here simply because he locks them out all the time and that they don't find anything particularly useful here.

>You remember somthing about escape hatches under desks. Unfortunately there are no desks in this room so you check underneath the island that has the sink mounted on it in the center of the room. You don't find an escape rout but you do find the water and gas lines again.
The room becomes hotter, you now feel a thick sweat dampening your body.

What do you do?
>>
>>25552222
Stay hydrated everyone. Get some water from the sink.
Then we can start bucking some doors down.
>>
>>25552222
turn on the sink, cold water of course.

Then give the camera your best 'are you serious' face.
>>
>>25552222
I don't follow the quest for a bit and look what happens.
Why the fuck are we trying to get the computer thing to try and kill us? even if he is bluffing what could we possibly gain from this course of action?
>>
>>25552222
turn the terminal towards the camera and say 'look for yourself'.
>>
>>25552263
When a kid has a tantrum you don't give them what they want. If you do you're just encouraging that behaviour.
>>
>>25552263
Things that behave like that gotta get bantz, man. Hands are tied.
>>
>>25552222
>>25552263
Yeah, Pepper did kinda go full retard with the taunting. I supported the decision of keeping stern but this is foolhardy as fuck. We underestimated him. I don't want PB or Spear to suffer because of that.

Time to play an emotional card. Burst into tears and tell him we can't even read.

I had another idea but it's really... dark.

>You turn on the faucet and let cold water spray in the sink. and turn the terminal screen to Apollo's camera.
"You can see for yourself!"
>You hit the power button on the computer to turn it back on and the terminal doesn't respond. You try the button a few more times and nothing happens.
>"I've cut power to that outlet, I will not let you read any more of that. Either tell me what you read in there or this conversation is over."
"Girls, we need to try and buck down these doors!"
>Photobomb yells at you, "I guess it's too late now Kid. Why in Tartarus are you being such a fucking idiot!?"
>Photo Bomb Kicks the door marked Clean-suit Required and bashes the glass in. Her leg gets a bit cut up in the process. As Photo Bomb nurses her leg a bit you see the sliding glass door that PhotoBomb busted start to slide back and fourth a bit.
>Realizing that Apollo may try to use the sharp glass on the sliding door as a weapon, you decide to try something new.
>You force out a couple of tears and begin sobbing in front of the camera.
"I-I don't even know how to read. Why are you being so mean to us?"
>Apollo doesn't respond.
>You begin to feel cold as the temperature begins to sharply drop.

I'm going to stop here for the night, I probably won't be back tomorrow. So if the thread dies it dies.

oh look whose talking.

Oh shit. I don't even want to ponder how the other idea would have gone.

Well at least we have something to work with: pathos. We may not even have to fuck shit up.

I have one other suggestion, but I'll wait until the next thread. Sleep tight, Bath.
>>
>>25552464
Whew, that was going to take a trip down to a bad place. If that bluff worked I'll sacrifice a part of my turkey to the horse gods.

That said, I really would love to see a pic of Spearmint and Pepper together hunting down a turkey monster
>>
You're all a bunch of pavlov's dogs.
Bath has given us every indication that this guy isn't shit but you're giving it respect like it's the super-AI running all the bots.

What the fuck do you guys expect from this area if everything we do is going to be cockblocked by an infant with control over the thermostat? We have to come down hard on it and make it behave but you guys are weakening our position by acting scared. The scientists who worked with this thing knew it was a bitch and you guys think they gave it any control of any real seriousness? We read the LAST logs, we know it didn't get any more control than what it has.

Anyway, confront this bitch. It wants to know what we read on the computer? okay. Tell him.

We read that despite the best efforts of two companies and teams of scientists, nothing could salvage him from being a broken toy. Despite given the blood, sweat and tears of hard working geniuses, he was still nothing but a spoiled child who'd throw a tantrum whenever things didn't go his way. We read that despite given power over things in good faith, he'd abuse it. We read that despite his best efforts to prove his worth to investors he couldn't find anyone who wanted him. What's it like Apollo, being a machine and knowing you're broken? What's it like when despite giving you everything the scientists that worked with you did not trust you. Those ponies dedicated their lives to giving you power but I bet that when things went to shit here, not one of them came to you for help. Not one of them trusted you with their safety. Does it hurt Apollo? Do you even know what hurt is, or are you too broken for that?

That's what we read on your computer and we had the decency to hide it from our friends here, for your dignity. But hey, you wanted to know. So are you going to continue blasting us with the air conditioning or what?
>>
>>25552464
We should have used our crowbar on that one.
all we can do now is stick something inside the door so that it clears up the glass. Not our crowbar, I don't want it to get stuck. And put the terminal back to the way it was.

This post seems to subscribe to the notion that we feel powerless instead of pretending so.

Acting like we're tough shit once again, disrespecting one of the only other seemingly benevolent entities this facility has to offer, is a pretty reckless approach that got Photo Bomb hurt so far and did literally nothing else. As soon as he cranked up the heat we reacted like trapped rats.

Save the tirade for if he gets out of hand. He's just pissy that we went through his sensitive info. As a diplomat, I'd rather have him sympathetic/tearjerk than have him grudging, making more enemies in a place where every ally counts. Even one as transparent as this faggot.

Keep in mind he could help construct relations between us and 21-12. And he could just as easily do the opposite. Let's not burn bridges we haven't even made.
>>
>>25553366
Why piss off pretty much the only intelligent thing here that hasn't immediately tried to kill us? Now PB probably takes us for being braindead aswell.
>>
Jeez, we're willing to do a lot in order to get some delicious backstory. All this over some logs so we can get more information on what's going on. As soon as someone says "no" on explanations we go kind of insane.

I don't think it's about whether it was worth it or not but how far we are willing to push for it in the first place. I think the answer is "Pretty damned far."
>>
>>25555149
>>25555186
>benevolent
>hasn't immediately tried to kill us
Literally because he can't. We accomplish nothing by playing along with his idiocy.
>>
>>25555149
>>25555186

The AI is is not following Asimov.

>Why piss off pretty much the only intelligent thing here that hasn't immediately tried to kill us? Now PB probably takes us for being braindead aswell.

It hasn't tried because it can't. It's literally playing a Shodan and trying to bully us into doing what it wants, and by getting what it wants it will have the capability of killing us and then will attempt to do so.

>>25556317
This anon gets it. If this AI wont do what WE want, we fucking ice the bitch and move on. Don't let it fucking bully us into making it more powerful by getting scared of what little control it currently has.
>>
>>25556317
Apparently we accomplish making him angry at us and PB thinking we're retarded.
>>
>>25556390
Why do we care about PB's opinion? She's retarded.

Honestly I'm half tempted to play along purely because she's taking something seriously for once, but nah.
>>
Might want to consider that Photo Bomb doesn't know anything about what we read on the computer.
>>25556383
This A.I. is not bound by the same constraints as traditional A.I. instead Apollo is held back by what hadn't been accomplished before the facility got wrecked.

Apollo is Glad0s....KILL IT WITH ALL OF THE FIRE THAT EXISTS IN THE ENTIRE OF SPACE. STOP IT! STOP IT BEFORE IT STARTS SINGING!
>>
>>25556697
Then we can just whisper it in her ear.
>>
>>25556383
A simple charade of emotion does, in no way, affect how much power he has over us. How much power he thinks he has doesn't affect anything either, so long as we don't keep our ideas privy (instead of telling Spear and PB).

We've conceded to one fairly innocuous demand (shutting off the terminal) and played an emotional card. He has apparently fallen for it, so it shouldn't be too hard to play our wits from there.

So, with that said, I wouldn't be focused on what he's capable of, or how mich control he feels, because we can apparently pull the rug from beneath him at any moment. What I'm worried about is the wisdom of making yet another enemy. One with contacts.
>>
>>25556697
Oh shit, so she's panicking? I wonder how we can calm her down without breaking the act.
>>
as far as the 'we can't read' card goes, remember how we asked for his name and he commented that it was written on the wall before telling us? That should make him inclined to believe our lie, right?
>>
>>25559050
Yeah. There isn't anything he can think of to refute our lie, from what I can tell. That's why he went silent. That, combined with waterworks, seem to have hit home.

I wonder if he's ever reacted this way with any other inhabitant of the facility.

Space station 13.A combination of every space horror, comedy, and action movie game.

It's a pretty technical game but once you know how to perform actions, it's hilarious. For details, I'd recommend going on to /tg/ and making a thread about space station thirteen. They'll hook you up, friend, and give you all the crazy stories of past games better than I could.
