When he jumped on her to "protect" her he basically knocked her down onto hard concrete and the sidewalk cracked her skull.
Mondo immediately went into denial about having accidentally killed his own girlfriend, screaming about how it was that rich guy's fault. Everyone else saw how crazy he really is and is afraid to tell him that it was actually him that killed Rasara/Sarasa (i don't care which one it was) because they're afraid he might "protect" them next.

Kamille would have thrown off the balance of the fight. If you threw Kamille on Char's side Amuro would have been overpowered and the battle would have been lost easily. Same if he was put on Amuro's side. The only way they could balance it was to have Judau as well. With only Kamille the plot becomes a joke where Kamille is either heavily underused to the point people are saying why was he so useless for being as powerful as he is or as stated before a steamroll happens that makes the movie uninteresting.

So when the OP changes in episode 26, does that mean that the second half of ZZ now counts as anime, and thus canon? The first half could be a reenactment, like the murders in episodes of America's Most Wanted. That would explain the cheesiness of the first half too.

More Haman. Shit gets very real for a few episodes while they're in Dublin. It's funny if you can ignore how tonally abrupt it is from Zeta. More Astoniage and Torres. There's some weird middle-east freedom fighter shit if /pol/ shit entertains you. A character from 0079 makes a short but important cameo near the end of the series.

That's all I got. ZZ is fun but I don't like it that much.

Kamille's arc finishes at the end of Zeta. He sacrifices his life, honoring the spirits of his fallen comrades, finally having matured past the autistic selfishness that characterized him in the early episodes.

His stuff in ZZ is interesting but sort of like surplus material.

I think ZZ would lend itself well to a series of compilation movies and would probably be much easier to digest for people who are hesitant about watching the whole series. They could even add scenes to show us what Char was up to around this time.
