Build/paint a kit (Gundam/Frame Arms/etc) with a loadout focused on long ranged combat! Sniper Rifles, Artillery Cannons, Missile Launchers, Funnels/Bits, and Miniguns are all fair game. You may also include a back-up melee weapons (Like a combat knife or beam saber) with your build, but it shouldn't overshadow your ranged equipment

More clarification here:

Has anyone used pla arts pieces? I was wondering how large the bow was, and how flimsy the plastic was. It looks quite thin, and I would like a relatively hefty bow for 1/144 scale, but this isn't in gunpla scale.

How do I sand after painting without removing the paint? I want to smooth out the paint before I top coat it.

Peel the sticker off its backing
Briefly dip it in a bit of water, then position it on the kit
Use the tiny bit of water still on the sticker to make tiny placement adjustments, without needing to peel it off and put it back on again
Press down with a cotton swab to remove excess water

I got pretty old kit, according to the scale model general old 1/35 tamiya tanks are supposedly great beginner kits and it was probably the decal size I'm after.

I made like one kit as a kid, it was one of those that came in a bundle with shitty paint so obviously the result wasn't pretty.

Airbrush setups don't even cost that much. You can get the ones in the guide for a $70 airbrush and $100 for the compressor with tank both of which work fine. $10-15 at most for paints on a single model if you buy from a local shop. Respirator costs $20-30 with the cattstidges already in the box for a half face. Between the thinner being at most $10 for a large amount that lasts many models, using cheap hardware store gunner to clean the airbrush and The clips plus skewers go for like $10 for like 100 of them on Amazon. For a proper airbrushing workspace (with all the necessary equipment and moving space), how big of an area should I be free up?
I'd be grateful if anyone could give me an estimate.

Airbrush, compressor, workbench+spraybooth, perhaps a rack/cabinet for the paints jars, cleaning equipment etc.
Am I missing anything? Any suggestions?
I'm thinking of clearing some space in one of my empty rooms and using it as an airbrushing area, so any advice is welcome.

Anyone have experience with Liquitex Ink? It looks like it'd be good for airbrushing, does it go on well/look good, and does it need to be thinned or is it at a good consistency as is?

you're right about that as well. The suit is one color, and the different colors are from the loose reflection of the beam saber. The sizing thing was noted when I was building too. The terrain and textured areas of the kit are definitely not to scale to a traditional Gundam.

I used some Liquitex ink for the G-Self head bust and it held up fine on top of vallejo primer. Of course that's a static kit and I haven't tried it on joints to see how durable it gets. Also tested using the ink without thinner and it was doable but it was still better when slightly thinned.

I've heard of people getting good results from microfibre cloths, the sort of thing you use to clean glasses. They're quite soft, so they should drape well, and microfibre would look much more in-scale than anything else.

The Z'Gok is great, having just built it. I'm not entirely sold on polycap joints, especially on MGs, but it doesn't really hinder the kit in any way. The build is also out there compared to normal gundam designs, but nothing complicated. Just be aware that it is an older MG, doesn't mean it's bad, it's just no Freedom 2.0

A quick googling says 30-50% thinner. I'd say start at one of the two and then just adjust if you are having issues with it being too thin or thick.

Have you considered that sometimes, shit happens? I was rotating the joint. I certainly wasn't wrenching on it. The joint was stiff because I didn't work it back and forth while assembling the frame, and that started torquing the peg connected to the other end of the joint against a connection piece that couldn't handle that much lateral stress.
