I actually agree. It would have been better to have more original shows, but the market conditions were becoming hostile towards original works in 1985 and they needed a guaranteed success. Gundam was still popular and selling merchandise, etc.

I like Gundam as much as the next /m/an but seeing more Tomino projects alongside the lines of Ideon, Zambot 3 and Dunbine would be pretty awesome.
