Really fast paced and fun so far. If they take a page from Ex-Aid and keep the trend going, the following years of KR will be really interesting.

Finally watched this ep and now I see what people mean by really weird editing in this ep. The transitions were wonky yeah.

I am laughing at how suddenly kasumi is in enemy hands witth the phone, that's fucking hilarious in coincidence.

Decent episode barring the editing and plot that should have been around episode 10 or 12, whenever Claws debuts.

The OP song is still the best thing about this show though.

Fast pace aside which I actually appreciate (no drawn out 4 episode slog of "muh saki..."), I really like the characters and action in this.
All these different locations and bike scenes we've been getting is such a fresh breath of air from Ex-Aid at least, where frankly the locations used were boring as hell.

Too bad it's a 20 minutes show, I do think these new faces can act so well. Even the side character, Kasumi, too.

This episode's focus on Ryuga reminded me of that one Kabuto episode where Kagami finds out that his brother was replaced by a worm, emphasizing the characters needing to accept that there was nothing they could have done to prevent or salvage their respective tragic situations.
It's a horrible feeling when you see simpleminded good guys just draw the absolute worst lot in life. I'm simultaneously glad and disappointed they didn't draw it out too much with this being the type of thing that speaks for itself; if that makes any sense.

I know blaming everything on Ghost is fun and all, but Fourze is where this trend started.

Pacing/scene cuts are all over the place but that sort of is how the first half dozen or so episodes of this stuff tends to be while they introduce all the core toys. Other than that, pretty okay episode. Really just want the obligatory set-up out of the way so that we can get into the meat of the series already.

I love this, the characters all work very well together which to me is one of the most important parts of a good season. I hope they continue with the arguing during the previously on, that was fun.

The pacing in this one is so fucking weird. It's like they took two or three episodes worth of plot and crammed them into one. I know they have to introduce and set things up, but they have an entire year to do that. At this rate, they'll be done by December.

These new subbers seem just fine.

I actually quite like this idea of having the Japanese words and it solves almost all of the complaints with Over-Time's Hedgehog thing from Episode 1.

I'm not quite sure what to make of having two insanely fast groups, though. The thing with EXCITE and RTA is that EXCITE was like 3 days late.

Build's transformation sequence has the same problems as a lot of modern Riders. It's hard to make your scene dramatic and your protagonist believably angry when he's shaking bottles like fucking maracas.

I'm wondering where exactly they want to go with this story. This whole "tragic girlfriend" thing felt more like something that would have been addressed later on in the series after we were given time and reason to care about Ryuuga and what's-her-name. Just having it all happen in the second episode means that it has no emotional impact and does nothing for Ryuuga's character. So you gave him his eventual transformation trinket ages before he'll ever use it instead of giving it to him when he's ready after developing.

They deliberately chose to make some bottles have Japanese names that change to English names under certain circumstances, it's an obvious intentional stylistic choice. Changing the proper Japanese name to English outside those circumstances makes the whole thing moot.

As a point of comparison, it's sort of like translating the "Oh" in Sentai mecha names. You can do it, if you want, but since it's the proper name, maybe you shouldn't. There was the whole Oh/King deal with Go-Busters as an example.

Of course this won't be the same thing, since the thing with Japanese and English names are the same thing, but it doesn't change the fact that the names are supposed to be different anyway.
