There was almost a Gamera series on Cartoon Network back in the day. Sadly it was canceled when Gamera the Brave flopped.

With all those edgy and dark reboots of Godzilla recently (Legendary, Shin, Planet of Monsters), Gamera should do the opposite and be more quirky and "fun"... maybe give someone like Miike or Sono a shot at the franchise?
