Related: a while ago some guy ran a bunch of filters over a scene from one of the Prisma OVA's, and the result is very strong evidence that the animators do actually draw nipples, then cover them up with steam, etc. It's as if they're keeping uncensored masters in a vault somewhere, ready to release if the laws ever change.

Since I haven't played z, I don't know how similar the events are to the show. In the show he has no choice but to blow up the Minerva's cannon. If he didn't the entire Orb fleet and most if not all of the EA fleet would have been destroyed. If you really wanted to, you could argue that every Orb/EA pilot that died as a result of being disabled would have been dead anyway.
Heine also wasn't fully disabled in the show, he just lost an arm. He dies because he stopped paying attention to Stella and the writers had him float into her path for no reason.

It's also questionable if disable units are dying. Almost all of Kira's attacks are for the head or arms. I suppose cuttings the wings off of the Orb transformer suits might inhibit their ability to return. Regardless, the main problem is that Kira is a massive threat, it's highly unlikely some douche will be hiding and cherry picking disabled guys while ignoring the massive army of one.
