Made similar thread a while back.
Someone posted an interesting article from Silent Line talking about how humanoid designs are easy to use for construction since they control kinesthetically (Spelling?).
Some ideas I personally brought up were having them fight in arenas just because it's cool, and variations upon "humans being turned into machines (Whether it be for or against their will) and being sized for specific things".
I was sadly never able to save the AC3SL image though.
