Hello, /m/! I know here is not /co/ but in one of the earlier threads I promised that I will storytime this comic and I am back. I don't have Hiroshimoot pass so it will take some time to finish it. Anyway, let's do this.
>>15847665
should have spoiler'd that one.
Assuming you don't get kicked off the board, thank you for your service anon.
>>15847691
You are welcome, hope nothing happens since it is short and actually /m/ related.
Sorry for the watermarks btw. I just dl'd the first thing I googled
>>15847630
Someone needs to storytime US War Machine volume one at some point. The art is a lot more tolerable in that one.
literally my fave comic page ever.
>that bicorne
>>15847802
Yeah it has some unironic good moments as well, overall bad tho.
I've seen worse comics, but this was an awfully lazy job for 2003.
>>15847851
Had some problems with that page so I clipped just a little, why did that happen I wonder.
>>15847856
IIRC the "artist" bragged about it since he was getting numerous pages done in a short span
>>15847885
The funny thing is I can't find nothing about "art" when I google his name
Bucky is really a trap in this comic, damn.
final issue lads.
>>15847936
I think I reposted this spread. Well,whaever.
Ah, that electric shit.
>>15847938
I've seen Deviantart fetish images with models on par with this
Oh, hi Doom!
Do you think that post-Secret Wars Doom is the worst? Well, here is the new challenger.
PIERCING ARROWSeriously though, they hinted that in the earlier pages but this shit is still funny af.
2nd fave comic page.
And, that was The U.S. War Machine 2.0. I kept my promise. I hope you enjoyed it. I am sorry if I broke any rules. Have a good day/night fellow /m/en.
>>15847805
It's beautiful.
No, /m/...
The Storytime Week of Pain is our burden.
That was quite something.
Quite something indeed.
>>15848090
Earth's fate rests in the balance. It is worth a try!
Holy crap that artstyle, I thought the shoddy 3D were reserved for the web porn comics. At least this has better writing
Is this shit official?? Did Marvel pay the model maker for this piece of shit?
>>15847716
>RPG
>it's literally a Stinger
>>15848150
>Better writing
Most porn is better-written than this trash.
>>15848150
>>15848215
It looks like Deviantart photoshop.
Was this made in Garry's Mod?
It's worth bearing in mind we've had over a decade of development since then. 2003 vs 17 standards is a bit unfair. It was better than Beast Wars started.
>>15847920
>>15847934
I feel like there was a tie-in to an ongoing Iron Man or Captain America series at the time that covered these events and left readers wondering 'what the fuck did I miss?'. Because that's how I'm feeling right now.
>>15848791
Yeah sure, but they also could have not done it. I mean look at it, it's plain ugly.
>>15848965
Did you think Beast Wars was ugly at the time it was airing?Hell, did you think FF8 or any other PS1-era 3d game was ugly? What about if it released today?
>>15848967
Hmm yes? I know it needed to exist to have what we have today, but I dont think that comic books are a medium that needs to have CGI art, so particularly in this case, it feels ugly as hell AND pointless.
This, of course, is only my opinion
>>15848791
The later seasons of Reboot looked better than that and aired a couple years earlier.
>>15849119
Reboot... was trash visually from what I remember. I know it turned me off with the ultra-reflective everything.
>>15848973
Modern comics are full of CGI art. A huge amount of backgrounds, for instance, are traced 3d models that they'll rotate to show different angles, etc.
>>15848967
I was there at the time this was released. Every other comic reader I knew thought this book was ugly as sin and couldn't understand why it wasn't hand-drawn with traced 3D armour models like the previous volume.
>>15849125
That can be a good or a bad thing depending on the artist. Some make it seamless and use it to create huge compelling scenes (mostly Japanese artists, come to think of it), others just lazily slap stock assets into the background and throw a phototexture down for the ground plane.
>>15849191
Last Hero Inuyashiki and Gantz are full of this, even the characters.
>>15848791
Yeah but in 2003 if I saw this I'd still be going "FOR WHAT PURPOSE?" with regards to the art.
>>15849191
>>15849278
the real art tbqh
>>15847888
>That fucking bowler hat
>1930s tier Captain America
>This art in general
How the fuck is this a licensed Marvel Product? Who fucking read through this and thought, "yea, this will do"?
>>15848150
>Better writing
The writing was fanfic tier
