27. I got my first dose of of the franchise seeing clips of UltraSeven shown on Cartoon Planet (ironically, I never did get to see the TNT dub while it was airing).

Watched the Tiga dub on FoxBox when it was new, but I didn't fully jump in until I watched Mebius on a whim three years ago.

The first 12 episodes are very great due to the cool-teacher focus that feels like watching Hell Teacher Nube but with Ultraman to save the day. That's something I really enjoy about Ultraman. Or at least the Mebius thru Zero Movies era. Like I already said it but, if it makes me feel nostalgic for shows I've never watched, I can't imagine how the people who grew up watching it felt. The Ultraman 80 episode of Mebius must have felt like a life defining moment for anyone who watched it as a child. No wonder so many Japanese adults like Ultraman.

Anno (For better or worse) has never had his hand at Ultraman. I bet he'd really surprise most of us and go pretty old-school with it though. He's an Ultraman fanboy, so I'm reasonably sure he'd go for something really traditional.

Shinji Higuchi did do some monster designs for Ultraman Powered though. I was pretty surprised to see his name in the credits. I'm willing to bet he did Powered Red King, just based on how similar it looks to Shin Godzilla.

Powered has a ton of "OH SHIT. IT'S THAT GUY" actors too, after watching it recently. The chick who played Nadine Hurley on Twin Peaks and Jeffery Combs coming right to mind.

This week's Geed was pretty alright too. Can't wait for next week's though. Pendanium Zetton looks really cool.
