Al is making multiple points here so let's break it down:

Highly subjective and unable to be ascertained. That said, given the wide shapes and variety of zeek mobile weapons, I agree.

This is highly debatable. The standard MS-06 Zaku II was already outclassed by the contemporary run of grunt suits by that time of the OYW. Al's probably basing his opinion on highly-enhanced Zaku variants like Bernie's FZ Zaku Kai that appeared very late in the war in very limited numbers to even more limited effect.

This seems to be an argument of passion. The basic RGM-79 GM's performance compared favorably to the Zaku II as the GM was lighter, stronger, and faster than the Zaku II. It's arguable that the GM is what allowed the Feds to follow through on their Gundam exploits to quash the zeek uprising and end the war. Personally, I think Al is full of ignorant and hopeful bullshit here.
