Build's. Kyuranger's toys are quite good compared to previous years, but Build's stuff are quite a step down from Ex-Aid: the belt has the weakest jingles in years, the bottles aren't all that interesting and the main weapon doesn't even have gun mode sounds, not to mention that the main action figure line completely kills waist and neck articulation for the gimmick. Build's stuff has the saving grace of having great aesthetics.

I thought that as well. Although it was mostly because I was thinking back to the last time the main rider wasn't a civilian turned hero due to circumstances you see playing out in the first episode itself.

We saw the driver, the bottles paired with it, him creating a new bottle, his fucking drill, his method of taking the kaiju's essence, his bike-phone and its subsequent bottle.

We got Ryuga escaping, experimentation, an unknown past, super secret base, organizations, pandora's box, the walls in Japan, Nightrouge's brooding over every possible scene associated with experimentation in case you didn't get it the first time.

A good Rider series should be able to write toy placement near seamlessly into its narrative without having it compromise interesting core plot elements, since that's what you need to expect for the entirety of the show.

W did it consistently well.
OOO did it consistently well.
Fourze kinda got weird with it at times, but the setting was laid back enough that those moments didn't really feel too intrusive.
Wizard sort of fumbled with any new power that wasn't Flame Dragon, All Dragon, and Infinity.
Gaim only had Kouta's power-up acquisition come off as uninspired despite the forms having cool debuts and new Rider introductions working great.
Drive was pretty bad about it, with the saving grace being that the toys were just generally lacking in presence as the reason for it.
Ghost was middling; it was really great at incorporating eyecons at times, and absolutely horrible at others (Houdini, Toucon, and the ones that Necrom used in particular).
Ex-Aid had an interesting takes about the need to collect the 10 Gashats and the properties of the each one that followed, despite the blatant power escalation that came with it.

OOO really did it the best. Having the toys be the main thing the protagonist and the antagonists fight over was a good touch. The fact that Eiji would sometimes lose his medals both made the story more dramatic and the stakes seem higher, and it also gave him an excuse to force him to use different combos.

I just have to say, Kenji Kawai's music in this series is fantastic. The transformation/fight music reminded me a lot of the Akibaranger music. Really gets you you invested in the action. I'll definitely pick up the soundtrack.
