Vader's TIE Advanced has bubble energy shields, a hyperdrives and is probably at least an order of magnitude faster so I doubt a disadvantage in maneuverability would be enough to overcome the advantages it has. Even Minovsky particles won't do anything in this instance if Char's warship spreads them, since Vader can just aim using the Force.

Vader does some even more ridiculous shit in the 'Vader Down' crossover comic Disney did a few years back. You could understandably not count it as canon, but it's still amusing to read if you find it. I can only find static pages like this, but he takes on 3 squadrons of X-Wings, killing most of them before Luke takes his unit out (along with his own) in a suicide run. Vader redirects missiles using the Force among other things to take out the opposing squadrons if I recall.
