There's 2 side story collections in the works. The "more light-hearted version" is probably Altered Fable/Before the Shimmering Time Ends, which is kinda like an epilogue to the trilogy. Aside from that, I finished another run-through of Extra again. Sorry for the blog, but man, I got feels...I decided to do the routes I ignored the first time through (when I first played the translation patch, I just did Sumika and Meiya's routes) and I just watched Chizuru's endings. I have some more respect for Takeru now...he's definitely dumb as a brick, but he really cares about the people around him and he has a strong sense of justice. He also has some surprising 'street smarts,' I guess; I was pretty impressed by how he managed to de-escalate the situation when those two jerks were picking on him during his first date with Chizuru.

I'm not really sure. I get the feeling that of all the girls, Sumika is Takeru's "true love," with Meiya coming a close second and the rest distant thirds. She was the one who held feelings for him the longest, and even if he doesn't reciprocate them in the end of the other girls' routes, he still has so many memories of Sumika that she's a part of his life history in a way no-one else is. Even if Meiya had been tube'd by the BETA, I don't think she would have been able to call Takeru across the universes.

I mean, Meiya held onto a love for her entire life and was willing to be with Takeru no matter what kind of person he became. Sumika has the childhood friend over Meiya, but Meiya was only thinking about meeting Takeru for her entire life. Hell, she even went back to highschool for him.

We'll never know unless Age creates a what if scenario (which wouldn't technically be a what if, but whatever), but I like to think that Meiya loved Takeru just as much. We don't even know the real quality of the 00 Unit's Takeru and Meiya relationship. It could have been any universe with any set of circumstances. Sumike, sadly, had to face the full brunt of the BETA on her.

That's a good point. I suppose it would have to hinge on whether or not they met in the BETAverse as children. Given how much else changed, it's possible they never would have played together, and thus BETAverse Meiya wouldn't even know who Takeru was and wouldn't have called out to an alternate universe version of him. Awesome, that short range was a bug. In fact, that new balalaika hits from further than the average machine gun and its effective range is also longer.
20sta suddenly became almost easy (with 1000-1500 tickets per run: s rank every time and everybody alive almost every time too)
But still no rainbow chest for me which makes me think that if you have an event tsf, it's better to spam 3sta: not only you get 100-300 tickets per run but it also allows you to farm discs.

Haruka, Yui, Minori and Tama skill level 25, Kyoko 21 and Akane 14.
Yui main dps, Akane buff attack and speed 56%, Minori heal 50%, Kyoko aggro and Tama secondary dps.
I use a support with aoe pilot and missile tsf if possible, since it pushes back the beta which gives more room to Minori to heal Kyoko (she ends up getting killed otherwise).
By going fast enough, my leader uses her skill at the same time than the first boss so no damage from it.
Sadly it doesn't work on second boss, its attacks are too fast. So either I focus on the small beta and its aoe attack can kill Akane/Minori or I try to focus on the boss and the small fry kills Kyoko. Maybe I'll start using items to heal them and not let Minori do all the job.
And I finish with the laser on each side.
I was using welfare ssr Yuzuka as secondary dps at first but it didn't feel like she was targeting the boss often and her skill has a waiting time so for now I use sniper but it doesn't matter much.
I'm missing a technique heal/buff/aoe for pilots and missile for tsf.

It's only at the end of that story that space james bond girl drops the both of them, that the real Ellen sacrifices herself to save the other girl because her box wouldn't open. When the real Ellen realizes she can't stabilize after that and that she'll soon crash and die, she tells the other girl to use her name since they'll land in the USA which is at war with France/Canada and that other girl's father is a recognized French politician so using her real name would only give her problems.
At that point, the james bond girl couldn't talk with them anymore and she never leaves space (she's even the one who will prevent the French from launching a second nuke from space) so she probably doesn't know about what happened.
