Final Dancouga doesn't even appear in it's own show.

Max God gets a pretty okay amount of love. Actually given it was only a 12 episode series nova is weirdly good about giving both it's upgrades a chance to show off.

In fairness to it, that does mean that the two times it shows up, it's retardedly strong. It's the same logic as why we only saw Gaiking the Great three times and once was just to lift a heavy thing: if you use a final form sparingly, you never have to have it job to anything.

The first time, it takes an attack that took out the entire team, and then fires one move. It instantly wins, and then its pilot is out of commission for like two episodes.

The second time, TRIANGLE CHRISTMAS BEAM OHKO.

The third time, the act of combining destroyed the villain, but also destroyed Dagwon as well (the villain took over Fire Dagwon at the time).

Super Fire Dagwon's rare usage feels like an utter contrast to other final forms like Great Exkaiser and Great Might Gaine which got used in every episode after debuts.

IIRC, Great Fighbird was used a fair amount, but didn't appear in every episode after its debut

Great Goldran was used in almost every episode (I think there was like, one or two where it wasn't), but for most of those it was an early-show-God-Mars style "it comes out and kills thing, then goes away".

And then Gaogaigar's final form was in every episode because its "final form" was just a minor upgrade to its regular one.

Layzner MkII, Koutetsushin Jeeg and Ultimate Gravion come to mind. Layzner MkII got cut from its own series, Ultimate Gravion only did a single attack and Koutetsushin Jeeg was just a last minute powerup to beat the final boss.

Final as shit, not spammed, and was actually invincible when other riders got their games ejected.
The best they could do was knock it over.

I'm pretty sure they were thinking it's hard to write dramatic fights around a character who's literally invincible. You can do it, but it requires making the opponent a puzzle boss rather than a straight-up slugfest, which is why Masamune is an infinite wellspring of dirty tricks and bullshit.

In other words, Hyper Muteki is Wario Land 2.

SRW only. Show Black Wing never had the Aggressive Emotion system, so it couldn't combine with Dancouga anyway. Alpha 1 and Gaiden had series Dancouga, Alpha 3 had Requiem for Victim's Dancouga with the new wingpack and that upgraded to Final Dancouga.

Every Inoue Rider show has that problem. Agito used Trinity Form only one before he got Burning and Shining. Kiva's DoGaBiKi form was used only once, Emperor's version of that same form was only used in a HBV.

Sorry, Alpha 3 had God Bless Dancouga's design as the pre-upgrade, not Requiem for Victim's version. J used the series version but just upgraded to Final Dancouga.

First used in GC, which put it about where it probably would have shown up had they had the full airtime to work towards the upgrade (when Alan died in the show, instead they combine to Final and win). Then it got in as a Dancouga upgrade in J and Alpha 3. And then we got three games in a row that had Final without regular Dancouga.

XO (GC's remake) had a bunch of little CG combination sequences, though, and one of them was Final Dancouga's. It was in SD, but that's still the closest we're probably ever going to get.
