The body is supported by metal chais. The feet are literally purely decorative and not actually supporting anything. I can imagine that they put the feet on last when the cranes are packed away, as it is on ground level and is the easiest to do.

IIRC the Unicorn is physically taller when its transformed (the legs are longer). I wonder how will handle it when it's transforming because either the feet are gonna move or the legs will be re-angled.

Honestly, after they announced the plans to take down the 1:1 RX-78-2, but before they announced the 1:1 Unicorn, I would have bet anything that the new statue would be Exia or 00 Gundam (00 Raiser too back-heavy, 00 Quanta too little screentime).
I was so hoping we'd get a glorious celebration of 00's tenth anniversary, with the 1:1 statue and new MGs everywhere (like Seed got with its tenth anniversary in 2013).

Holy shit am I disappointed.
No new MGs, and what variations we do get are things no one asked for, which don't matter because they are p-Bandai limited anyway.

I certainly don't hate Unicorn. I like both modes very much, even.
