Nadesico The 3 Year Gap

Prince Of Darkness was pretty fucking great. I actually liked it,and wished it would have been a second season instead.

Prince of Darkness is pretty much the Patlabor 2 of the franchise. It isn't "bad" so much as it is simply darker and different than the mostly-comedic tone of the series.

I see. Given it's been a while since I last watched the series, the change of tone might not be too jarring to me.
Still, I'd like to have some idea of what the Saturn game was about.

The movie is horrid even by it's own standing. The plot makes little to no sense, and even in the actual movie the tone is all over the place, flip flopping from cute summer vacation movie about Ruri to edgy revenge story about Akito that gets no resolution and basically ends on a cliffhanger.

And as a fan of Nadesico it's even more infuriating because pretty much all the non Ruri characters get is a walk on roll to remind that they exist.

Awful, awful movie.

This anon >>15812656 get it. I liked Nadesico for the great characters it had, and only getting Ruri and an Edgy version of Akito wasn't enough, even though I like to see them back, they don't really do anything.
