Also, people on 4chan who bitch about Laplace's Box are only familiar with the US Constitution. The US Constitution is beautiful, a work of art. It's simple and to the point, and leaves a lot of room for adaptation and growth.

Other modern constitutions are FUCKED. The Constitution of Brazil is 395 pages, for example. These constitutions are very specific and cover as many contingencies as the writers could think of to make sure they have answers for everything. Everything in that constitution is intended to function as a full set of laws and rules for running the country for all time.

Laplace got wrecked before the Constitution was unveiled. What happened is that later on, the faction in the EF government that took over post-Laplace Incident showed a constitution without that clause pertaining to "space-adapted humans".

UC's failed attempt at having an organization similar to Celestial Being.

IMO it can be interpreted two ways:
A) It only guarantees they will have some form of involvement, which is basically prohibiting barring future spacemans from government positions.
B) It gives future spacemans priority over non spacemans in government positions, as if they intended future spacemans to eventually govern all of humanity.

But none of that makes any difference, because both interpretations mean jack and shit for Zeon. Newtypes were not confirmed before the war, nor were any of them fighting for a representation or government position. The only way newtypes were related to the war was the use of them on both sides as powerful soldiers.

Why was this important again? Why was the EFF paying out the ass to keep it under wraps? Why did they even bother editing that line out? Why wasn't the script thrown into a dumpster and set on fire?

You know what's really stupid? There is no real evidence that the stone in the box wasn't a fake itself. We're shown that the damn thing is made using a laser engraver even for the signatures. It would be easy as hell to create copies that said whatever the hell you wanted.

In fact, that's exactly what the EF itself did and a century later no one has noticed.

It was the stupidest asspull of asspulls.

It is a spinoff that based itself on the main canon but at the same time trying to fundamentally change the main canon. It rubs the people the wrong way.

Not to mention is it extremely silly to focus on the legislative side of thing when the viewers were never given enough information to how or why the Federation government is running the way it is in the main series to put Unicorn in better context.

It also does not make sense to have another Zeon remnants uprising within the close Earth sphere when you put the events in CAA and F91 side by side.

I also personally think bandai is just too scared of losing money by switching its focus from the MSG-CCA era to the F91 and post era as the main MSG to CCA's plastic kits are pretty much out. They want to keep milking them with the side story and spin off which the Japanese will surely keep buying.

The aliens clause isn't nearly as restrictive. All it says is that the Federation will research and prepare for them. Which implies they can pump money in to anything they want using it as an excuse. The newtype clause doesn't justify spluring money wherever you want, only binds them to include people if something happens.

No, it isn't. Turn-A flat out shows newtypes leaving en-masse in regular colony cylinders, which contradict how Judau and his one ship left. There's no implication it's because of Judau, and the Victory Side Story manga it happened in was never intended to be canon in the first place. It takes place in continuity with the Gigantis/Ideon stuff and is just the writer having fun, not some kind of blueprint for future UC works to work towards.

They were paying out the ass because Cardeas Vist had proof they had come to power by killing their predecessors and of their corruption. Which, in a young government can kill it. Tomino doesn't and never has owned Gundam. He wasn't even the sole writer, or solely responsible for any of the shows he worked on. He's the credited creator, nothing more. And even the show's creation was done as a for-pay job, not any kind of artistic vision, setting out to meet certain guidelines the studio gave him. Whether he wrote something or not has no bearing of any kind on it's canonicity.

Char's Neo Zeon already made little sense, so having another one is no more nonsensical since Char's Counterattack has nothing to say about Zeon, only about Char himself.
