Look at 0081 avant title. No need for new designs. The game itself repurposed the 7th Gundam and RX-81, and introduced the Efreet Nacht.

The problem is that those designs are either completely derivative of something else, or over-the-top-stupid-bullshit, and not in a fun way or a way that fits.

Zeon MA looks alright...until you get a full look at it. It's a dragon Sazabi/Nightingale thing. DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER CHAR. DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER HOW HE LIKES RED. DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER THE NIGHTNGALE? BUT THIS ONE IS COOLER, SINCE IT LOOKS LIKE A DRAGON.

This thing looks like it would fit better in Gundam AGE. And I say this because they weren't bullshitting around with what they were trying to go for with the Vegan MS/MAs, and it wouldn't be painted in a way to try to pander to Zeonfans.

The Gundam MA looks like it was designed by a committee of assholes. "It's gotta be sleek, not too big and bulky, and the Gundam's head gotta be showing, so everyone knows it's an add on for the Gundam!" This thing is a fucking disaster. I mean, the Sazabi-Dragon is bad because it's a bit too up the nose with what they're trying to pull, but this MA Gundam looks like a pile of shit.

Other than the original Zeon and maybe Axis the rest of zeon groups were remnants and smaller private groups who were either privately funded, engaged in bandit activity, or "stole" their stuff.

During the OYW Zeon was basically treating their MA program the same as Nazi super weapons in that they were "The next big thing that would win the war". And in the case of Axis their stuff actually worked and was effective, they only lost due to internal conflict crippling them.
