Then yes it's awesome and is bigger and better in most ways than the previous shows, great cinematography that they never even attempted before, huge bombastic big band type music, crazy powers and attacks, two of the best villains in Toku history, every Rider appears at the end, one of the best in the franchise for sure.

It's pretty great. I've seen all the Showa series save for V3 and Black RX and it's personally my favorite. Shigeru is a fun protagonist, the villain hijinks are great (General Shadow is one of my favorite Rider villains and characters period). The last arc in general is really strong.

That last arc features the previous Riders pretty prominently, though, so I think it's best worth watching after at least a couple of the earlier Showa shows.

It was th same in the show. Shadow Moon is only good to give orders and watch. Every time he fights Black it's embarrassing to watch. The only time he did anything worthwhile was because the Century King helped him by transforming him back into Nobuhiko. If not, he would be defeated right there without barely putting up a fight.

Flashman isn't the greatest sentei show,
and Mess also isn't the coolest looking villain group either. However, I really find
Lah Deus vary eye catching, like the first time I saw the show, I immediately like his design, he stand out the most when mess is in group shot.

I think we need to step back and appreciate just how great Zetton's design is.

It's such a foreign and bizarre design that was so radically different from the other dinosaur and space themed monsters. It worked so well in how unique it was. Instead of going the "bigger is better" route, Eji made the final and greatest threat the most off-the-wall and unsettling.

The one big problem Stronger has is obviously cheap looking monster suits, even compared to older shows, but it still has some pretty good ones at times.

As far as balancing dramatic and ridiculous, I guess it does go with Stronger sometimes doing stuff with no explanation at all, but that's generally just in the early monster of the week episodes, and it works perfectly with Shigeru's personality there. Still, I guess if you want a more "serious" hero and show I can see why you'd dislike it. I think especially V3 and Black just go too far in the other direction though, ending up with bland protagonists.

Silva uses a gun and giant robot that kills anything with Bio particles. The Bio Peace Alliance uses Bio particles. In one of the flashback stills shows him blasting through a robot while Balzion rampages.

To put it into perspective the original Yellow Four died because of Anti-Bio Particles use by the Gear empire.

Been watching toku for 4 years with you guys now and im getting pretty caught up with everything. Just started Boukenger and I fucking LOVE Ryuons design.

Was big into super robots before toku and hes reminiscent of Go Nagais monster designs, especially getter robo.
