A good portion of our economy comes from butt-fuck nowhere as well, since states like the Dakotas, Texas and Oklahoma (along with Alaska) have massive oil deposits which aided in dropping the price of oil substantially in the past few years, which also have a positive massive economic impact on our economy. Plus, states like Florida have a massive tourism industry which funds most everything there. I don't hate the states themselves, just the cities. While living in the rural landscape of the Texan landscape would be ideal for me, I wouldn't mind living in places like Albany, NY, New Hampshire, the Rustbelt or Vermont. I just can't deal with the constant hustle and bustle of the city than for a week or two. Too busy and not enough natural serenity.
