>you lived long enough to witness Sadako and Roy Batty engage in an animu fight
Why do I get the feeling that this was a jab at Age of Ultron?
Why do people like All other anime It's not as if though I hate all other anime, there's just legitimately nothing interesting that it can offer me.
I just can't sit down and watch 50 episodes of extremely formulaic and objectively bad acting and writing with little to no hook besides "hey im watching old thing this is neat i am so patrician". I'm not enough of a masochist to subject myself to that and I don't care enough about the opinions of others online to try and gain their approval by pretending that I think All other anime is in any way actually better than heybot.

>>15775666
You know you should reevaluate your skills as writer when your high-budget "Everything Will Be Obvious Soon"-mess gets upstaged by some guy just fucking around with a deranged kids show about farting robots, macaronis and Blade Runner characters.
Why is Turko on the ticket booth glitching? Are they actually in some kind of VR?
>>15774525
What happened to the conclusion of previous episode anyway?
>>15775803
eh?
>>15775845
That's the movie they went to in the pre-opening scene and called complete and utter shit afterwards.

Everyone got fucking trolled.
>>15775847
One of CE's very first commercial break eyecatches was this and all that soon became obvious was that the writers had no fucking clue what they were doing, including that ill-placed dream episode almost at the end that IIRC didn't really add anything worthwhile.
>>15775878
ah, got it.
I don't get this show.
>>15775839
She is one of the "planets" that got beaten.
She has been rewritten and her memory is altered.
Same thing happened to the white hair guy at the end of the episode.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this but the "planets" seem to be basically the writing staff of the show that keeps coming up with new shit and randomly self-inserts themselves into it which causes all the corruptions and Nejiru-shenanigans.
Meanwhile, Vitae/Fine tries to put an end to that crap and the show itself (fine=end) but more or less went haywire and now also has her/its own agenda.
Or something like this.
>>15778980
I got a sort of a similar impression though about different things. Considering we had the runner about "rejected" characters and other fourth wall breaks like that. The idea of the character memories or characters themselves getting rewritten feels like different stages of an idea, with character backstories and roles getting written and retooled during pre-production.
>>15778980
>>15779063
I kinda like the idea of a Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo-esque show that is seemingly all too aware of what outside factors are planning to do with them.
>>15779063
So each "floor" is basically a different and for the final show unused story which would also explain why some characters don't exist in certain iterations like Vitae and Sugoi because the haven't been written into it.
>>15779081
Yeah, with the "screw" spiraling ever closer to a final iteration that must be put onscreen, or the unavoidable end of the series, with no time left for further retools
>Nejiru? Isn't that a screwed name?
>>15782378
>>15782378
>>15782378
>>15784718
I want to screw the mama!
So let me see if I've got this right.
The first incarnation/original version of Nejiru- with his partner, Heybot Zero, and Fine- touched the lives of the Planets and the important characters of the "Heboverse." Something happened and original Nejiru was lost, as was Zero's Screw Soul. Something happened, and the Great Screw that we keep going back to was created to replay events until Nejiru could be saved- perhaps Zero's Screw Soul was used to make it? Either way, Fine was originally on board, but as things have gotten increasingly corrupt and downright insulting to Nejiru and Zero's memory, she's desired to end it all, but that would mean the end of the lives of every person who was recreated by the Great Screw.
Does this sound TOO off?
>>15785482
Where's the evidence to support all this?
https://twitter.com/dmpmutation/status/896498822054002688
Looks like last arc will start at episode 47.
>>15786592
It's a lot of little things- Timelines and "levels" of the screw are considered interchangable, and the pixelation/glitches in characters like Turko in this last episode are giving me major "computer simulation" vibes. Zero (the heybot-identical vocabot we've seen a few times now) is somewhere outside of the screw, and yet ending everything to do with said screw appears to be Fine's goal, since this will somehow bring back Zero. It's strange to me how Nejiru has no counterpart outside of his timelines (I don't count his future selves, they're clearly from different turns of the screw) but he appears to have had a major effect on the Planet's lives, including Mars(?) meeting him, Zero, and Fine when he was a normal human.

>>15816148
No, no, I don't really come to these threads too much. It's just that sometimes I click on the screenshots out of curiosity and it's always some kind of reference to something. Does it have a plot?
>>15816160
Yes. Here is the full plot synopsis.
>>15816160
There IS an overarching and somewhat elaborate plot that so far gets shown through plot-related tidbits everywhere which you have to piece together.>yfw this is the Dark Souls of animu
>>15816160
It's complicated. Generally every episode is made to look self-contained but it often subtly interweaves threads of the main storyline. Then there are also episodes that pretty much solely advance the main story.
All in all, they've made it seem that the MC and his vocabot are having innocent random adventures full of gags and slapstick humor, but the two of them turn out to be just pawns in an overarching world, or more like a multi-verse, that's serious and complex and dark and gritty. Or at least it presents itself in such a way.
>>15816234
>>15816160
It's kinda like Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo in which you do have to pay attention to an overarching plot in between the manic humor, all the loads of references and absurd battles.
>>15814894
Seems so.
I always love it when shows do that, like when in Wataru they showed drawings for potential Himiko-powers made by children.

>>15816886

>>15816893
Yeah. I suspect that Tomioka snapped afterwards, which explains this and the psychedelic 18 If.
>>15816893
>>15816956
I'm not sure how you can get cancelled when the show was only supposed to be 24 episodes. We know it lost 1 episode due to the events that also delayed the Zyuohger and Precure premieres that year and if we're going by the same timetable, it would have also lost 1 episode for the New Year's pre-emption as well. So there's 22.
>>15816160
>>15816142 , >>15816169 , and >>15816172 sum it up pretty nicely. It's a story that comes in waves but it does boil down to a plot that shows up in most episodes (in a roundabout way) and it starting to hit hard and heavy in these last few episodes.
Basically, if you like even a bit of pop culture over the past century or so, you'll probably find at least a reference or two that you recognize.

>The network has been airing Heybot! and Kirakira Precure a la Mode, along with the live-action shows Uchū Sentai Kyūranger and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.
Oh, boy. Considering that Heybot have a total of 52 episodes, we still have six episodes to air. Not considering anymore golf matches, the series would need to run until the 23th of september to end normally.
>>15821241
That doesn't really matter though. The main station is Tv-Asahi which will keep the block up to the end of September. A local station not airing the show up to the end is irrelevant most of the time.
