can you be even more stupid? The Ballistic Zaku is based on the Origin Zaku II, Toshihiko Seki (the guy who played Char Aznable in Origin alongside Ikeda as Casval) has a right to play Char because this episode is one huge meta joke.

Having Char/Amuro/Lalah showed down our throats pissed me off anon.

Was it really intentional to have Seki instead of Ikeda? If they went so far for just that kind of meta joke, then it was way too far. It would have been better and more enjoyable simply with Ikeda. If I had to guess, I'd say Ikeda doesn't like Build Fighters so he rejected the role. Furuya should have done something to convince him if that was the case. We'd have to wait for a Gundam Sousei sequel to know the truth.
