Sadly, I have to agree. Mahoroba was great but not completed. As well as Great Yamato.

I cna only hope that Dimension Voyage, the one serialized in Champion RED could link all the works, in the first volume there was a splash page with G Yamato and also D-Guard. If they managed to adapt GE999 ultimate journey it would be great
