go to the Device -> Sound Options… and lower PSG volume from 64 to at least 54.
since the game uses a modern sound board

I have no idea since I am not part of the group I am only a friend of the translator
but according to their site they are working on Star Cruiser
and the translator is the same guy who did SRW 2 and is currently working on SRW Masoukishin (the translation is all done) and SRW A Portable (around 75% done)

Wasn't Masoukishin's translation done since 2007 or something? Or is this some other group?

the old translator (the one who did 2,3,4, EX, and the alphs games) used to translate games at an incredible speed but his translations weren't so accurate so when the new translator stepped in he decided to do SRW 2 and masoukishin from scratch
I am not sure if he is interested or not in picking up any other games or not
I guess he might do since he is a huge mecha fan

nope it was a :complete" translation, but the old translator didn't have a large grasp of Japanese so he sometimes he made up lines.
if you were to compare the lines in the 2 versions you would understand

I know I asked this in another thread, but does Macross do a good job of designating licensed games? I've only played the shmups but both of them were actually good (Because they were smart enough to hire developers that had good experience with shmups).
