Oh fuck...

Jupiter?! I hardly even know her!
I like to imagine Jupiter's clear bands are slightly opalescent.
Jupiter has planetary meme status only second to the moon.
>>15757247
Mars is up there though.
>>15757254
Mars is cool. Step off. Sometime a reputation is earned.

Neptune and Uranus have a bad rep. Neptune is just "smaller blue Jupiter" and Uranus is "Teal Neptune on its side also ur anus joke". Even Saturn has its massive peacock rings, though Neptune and Uranus have them to an extent as well.
What's that behind Jupit-

*LOUD, LOW TONE ELDRITCH CRYING*
Goddamn Jupiter, fuck you.For all our memes it's one of our biggest protectors against space junk, so thank you very much for the billions of years of service, Jupiter.
>>15757550
Umm anon, a popular theory gaining evidence and traction is that Jupiter is the cause of all that junk due to it migrating from the outer areas of the solar system to where it is now, its immense gravity sending everything on a system wide game of space billiards, likely ripping apart a few protoplanets along the way to create the kupier belt
At first I thought it was just a silly joke, but now I'm noticing that a lot of sci-fi in general uses Jupiter as a "bad shit's going down" location or object. It's kind of wild how often it shows up in fiction as a location for black ops projects or ancient entities or weapons.
>>15758455
It's fucking huge, it's visually distinctive, we have no idea what the surface really looks like under all that gas, IT HAS A FUCKING EYE and it's named after the head of the Roman pantheon. Jupiter is pretty clearly the "Final Boss" of the solar system, who else could fill its shoes? There's a reason it's the default choice.
>>15758485
But anon, Jupiter doesn't have a surface, unless you mean its core (which is about the size of Earth, I think. I may be wrong though.)
Leave Jupiter to me.
>>15758690
It's pretty hot around here. Would you like some watermelon to cool off, Scirocco?
>>15758485
>Jupiter is pretty clearly the "Final Boss" of the solar system
Let's see: if Jupiter is the final boss, Earth would be the hero and Mars the badass rival turned ally. What about Venus? Childhood friend? Love interest?
>>15757299
Uranus is also known as "the most boring place in the solar system".

Mercury is the comic relief sidekick kid who is really hotheaded but never does anything actually useful.
>>15757247
Not really. Jupiter's gravity helped shape the Solar System, and gas giants like it are rare; most end up as "Hot Jupiters".
Jupiter also has moons that could potentially support life.
>>15757254
Not really. Mars is important because it's the only non-Earth object in the Solar System that humans could theoretically live on.
Whether that's feasible is an argument for another day. Point is, if humans REALLY wanted to and REALLY worked at it, it could be done.
>>15758732
Love interest, because she's hot as hell.

They're the final boss' henchmen that are a recurring duo boss fight throughout the game. They also finish each others sentences.

Probably Jupiter's Generals along with the lead General, Saturn, who almost defeats Earth but is destroyed when Jupiter finds out that Saturn was planning on overthrowing. It will also display how powerful Jupiter is.
