Seen as a symbol of the cancer responsible for turning Akihabara into an Otaku shithole with the evils of commercialism.

That take on Anno really resonated with Shin Godzilla. Away from Eva and working on something he loved, you got a movie with a level of optimism Anno had never shown before. Movie felt like the product of a director who'd learned and grown over the years. Rebuild on the other hand, just reeks of bitter cynicism and fatigue.

seems like new installments (of almost everything) has higher and higher development costs that it's almost a miracle games make a profit.
