What are your thoughts on ships that have a long submarine like look to them?

Pretty sensible. Submarines are designed to keep pressure out rather than in, so you'd need to design the interior of a spaceship differently than a submarine, but a pressure hull is going to be rounded either way. And a long and thin ship is ideal for minimizing the profile you expose to your enemy. So yeah, submarine-shaped spacecraft make perfect sense to me.
Gun Hazard was a pure mecha ludonarrative

I really wish there were more mecha games that took Gun Hazard's approach to narrative. Like it was sort of intrusive, but it added meaning and context to what you were doing. Literally had me glued to the screen to see what happens next and I didn't even care about the grind for levels and equipment.

The plot for Gun Hazard was pretty bland but it gave a competent context to all the crazy set-pieces.
