By your logic all OO series gunpla should have Trans-AM ability without the need for declaration. All UC suits should be able to maneuver like a Newtype special, and all G-Gundam fighters will be able to do the chicken thing.

This is Build Fighters though. The power of the original suit isn't really relevant next to model quality. A Dijeh sliced a Freedom easily. A customized Gyan made quick work of Turn X. They could have let the machine use Trans am but still have Char win through some piloting feat. It ain't the first time trans am was defeated. Even in Try, Yuuma kept up with a Salty Kyrios' trans am.

It was kinda funny seeing Char straight from the OYW trying to make sense of a full on AU Gundam.

Anyways in all honesty Ribbons should've wiped the floor with Char, so my assumption is that the AI designers bowed to popularity power and made Char better than he should've been. Nothing weird there, it's fanservice after all.

I hope somebody puts Domon in a non G suit at some point just to see what would happen.

Sekai was awful and a huge focus. The romance was awful and a huge focus. Characters never got good build up and disappeared to quickly after to matter. Even the tryhards got fuck all development. CHICKEN HOW ARE YOU and general poor choreography not taking advantage of the 3v3 battles. The problem was Meijin became the whole character, even in private he became all silly when before he was a nice helpful guy who played a character. Also on that, her whole idea was to be something that brings the team together but instead makes weapons that just plays to their separate strength that aren't used in cooperation. Nothing about her ever really brought people together.

She has a personality more than sort of nice girl for a start. She also gets a better arc in a few episodes. We see her over confidence is a face she puts on to support her team, which is a better story about being a leader than Fumina ever gets. The whole zeon motif fits well with that personality as does her gunpla designs. And there is more to dig at with her like the relationship with her brother.

Gyanko isn't an amazing character, but they do way more with her in less time and she has much greater potential. Which is all there to use, with Fumina you'd have to add so much to the character to get her beyond completely bland.
