Kiseki Series/Trails Series Thread?

How does Cold steel connect to Trails?
I've had the first two trails games sitting in my steam since I was "going to play them at some point" and just never bothered too.

If you're a fan of grid combat JRPGs and don't mind ones that have a slow start, you should have a good time with the Trails series. They feature some of the best and most detailed worldbuilding in a game series that I've seen, and they generally have a likeable cast and an engaging plot once it gets moving. It doesn't go full /m/ with piloting your own mechs until Cold Steel 1, though.

They are fun for their story, its world lore and how each other game is connected with some ongoing plot behind the scenes, sky trilogy might be a tad tedious due to its outdated sytem and very slow paced start however it offer some challenges and really some nice twist.

I like how the story of these games, in the old trilogy started by investigating new weaponry and we finally reach to the part were they are developing giant combat mechs. WIth a grow up Tita no less.

I assume that's done for mechs with interchangable pilots.

Valimar doesn't get one because it's face iconic is obviously distinct and only Rean will be in it.

The other one is shown to be piloted by Ashe in the menu screenshot, but that might not be the case here.

For the record, it's a Hector, which was an advanced model released in CS2. Angelica's father and the Nord general piloted one.

Thats exactly why I prefer the undub one, I cannot say the english actors did a bad job but nip ones felt more natural and overall better. I read that fujos normally wet for Crow's seiyuu

For me only Alisa's japanese voice sounds like huge improvement over her english one. I usually avoid english dubs, but I honestly think that CS had great english dub. Still, replaying this game now with japanese voices is going to be nice experience.

And speaking of eng dub, Duvalie's english voice from CS2 is still the best one I've ever heard. So fitting.

Rean piloting Valimar unarmed really reminds me of God Gundam for some reason.

Alot of Cold Steel's story seems to be less surprise and more "and this is how it happened"

We knew coming off Ao the end result of the Erebonian Civil War, we just didn't know Osborne would make a miraculous return and have been playing the other side the whole time, or that the protagonist himself would be leading the charge to conquer Crossbell.

Hell going into CS3 we know Erebonia's expansionism will stop and Crossbell will be liberated at the end, just not how they're finally going to take Osborne down.

Actually it doesn't really debunk all theories, untill proven otherwise of us having seen notCrow and Rean in the same scene. The theory of notCrow actually being ogre-mode Rean is alive, we know that Rean isn't always in the party thanks to screens and we know he is losing controll of his ogre-powers and 見覚えが... easily could fit both of them with the Rean line being red-herring.

Both spoil each other. I think you better play zero first, then Coldsteel to minimize the spoilers. After that you can pick either Ao or CS2.

The interesting thing is that Vita, vampire tulpa loli, and notCrow are listed in a separate "faction" from literally everyone else. It seems she isn't a part of Ouroborous anymore after fucking up.

She's still supposedly loyal to the organziation but working apart from them.

Best guess, everyone else in Oroborous blamed their failure entirely on her incompetence rather than Osborne being a serious threat and aren't taking any real precautions on round 2, while she knows he's really a problem and is going after him on her own both to redeem herself and keep their plan going.
